LETS BE REAL ROLAND
The TD50 - Clearly the number of triggers on their newer snares and Ride cymbals make for the most expressive and impressive Vkit ever. HOWEVER the sample library is very limited - ESPECIALLY considering that the vast number of drummers interested in this kit are going to be using it largely for the practicality that these kinds of kits can provide in recording and need a lot of samples to choose from. Roland shoots back with the ability to load samples into the module. Roland blows it here too with this because the extra triggers in the snare and crash will not apply to imported samples.ROLAND. What this means is that for most audio engineers, they will turn to other drum vsts and sample libraries like Superior Drummer, Get Good, Easy Drummer ect ect and pay good money for the additional samples. Why wouldn't you guys provide expansion sample libraries that actually utilize the additional triggers in the latest snare and crash? That is so extraordinarily dumb as EVERYONE would buy them - but instead are buying samples from everybody else.....How could Roland take it that far and then miss the mark by not providing a sample libraries and/or expansion packs that match the level of technology that the kit itself is capable of? Really Roland? Maybe if the kit was priced at $3500 but for a 5k-$7500 kit (for the TD-50KV), not having the option of buying a sample libraries that actually take advantage of the better triggering means that basically any kit that can trigger samples competes with this kit. So so dumb Roland; still one of the better Ekits that you can buy....
