Perfect Fit!
I love most things about my AKG K240S headphones, except that the stock pleather ear pads were very sweat-inducing and sticky, and they fit very loosely around my ears. I had ordered velour ear pads for another headphone and I really liked those, so I decided to search Amazon for velour ear pads for the K240S. There aren't many options, but I came across these, and considering the reasonable price, I thought I'd give them a try. I got them, put them on, and WOW, what a tremendous improvement in comfort over the stock pads! The velour pads are soft and dry on my ears, and because, as others have mentioned, the hole in the center of them is of a smaller diameter than the stock pads, they fit more snugly around my ears, with none of the looseness and unwanted movement of the stock pads. I do not notice any difference in audio quality with these, either better or worse, although considering the outstanding comfort level, it wouldn't matter much to me if there was a slight change. One thing to note is that these ear pads are not only made in China, they actually ship from China, something I failed to note when I ordered them. I received them in a little over two weeks by U.S. Mail, which was actually quite a bit faster than the 4 to 6 week time frame I was given by Amazon upon placing the order. All in all, these ear pads greatly improved the comfort and wearability of my AKG,s, and I am very happy with this purchase. Edit: After using the headphones for a couple of weeks with the velour pads, i began to feel that my music was sounding a little muffled and lacking clarity, so I decided to try the original pleather ear pads again. Well, this restored the clarity and detail in the music that I had been missing, and removed much of the muddiness and bloatedness of the bass that I had been hearing. So, I am back to the OEM ear pads. I do miss the comfiness of the velour pads somewhat, but in the end, I had to go with sound quality over comfort. Caveat emptor.

Great product - I'm ordering more.
I looked at all the various aftermarket earpads for the phones I use, and while some of them looked very nice, I can't see shelling out more than 25 bucks for a pair of earpads. I went with these because the pic looked nice and they were only 10 bucks. They were much harder to put on than OEM earpads are, in fact, I was worried that I would damage them, but they survived the process nicely. (You have to be fairly forceful with them...) My application is for the AKG K271 - my trusty pair had earpads that were cracked and squished...these are better than OEM, they're soft, quite comfortable. This model will also fit the AKG K240 series, and I have three of those, so all of them are getting these earpads, even one pair that is brand new. I wear glasses and the OEM earpads press too hard, making my ears hurt like crazy right where the earpieces of my glasses go under. Not so these - they're excellent. BONUS - a pair of foam circles is included. On AKGs, the foam circles are not part of the earpads, they're glued to the plastic earcup chassis over the driver. I didn't need to use them, but it's nice to have spares.

Lasted a good 7 years
These fit great and are comfortable. After 7 years the coating has started to flake off. They are still functional but are leaving bits of debris everywhere.

AVOID THESE!!! *UPDATED* NO, GET THESE!!!
These pads feel really good for the first few minutes. Then they start to feel like two bricks on the sides of my head. Don't waste your money on these cheap pads!!! Just buy the HiFiMAN velour pads for a few more bucks instead. *UPDATE* 7/17/2015 Well I gave these another chance and found that these are really comfortable. The real problem was not in the earpads at all. It was really the way I was wearing my headphones. Normally I'm used to wearing on-ear to smaller over-ear headphones, such as the panasonic rphtx7 and the skullcandy hesh 2 to name a couple. My akg k240s are my first pair of full sized over-ear headphones, so I had to get used to wearing them on a larger area of my head (the area behind my ears). Usually with my other headphones I don't really have a problem putting them on or over the cartilage of my ears and still have them touch a smaller area of my head behind my ears. When I got my akgs, I was trying to wear them as if they were smaller over-ear headphones. Which resulted in the back of ears being pressed against the large cushions of the earpads. So when I finally learned to accept that larger area of my head being covered, these earpads became like pillows. As for the hifiman velour pads, they are a bit stiff and require some breaking in. *BOTTOM LINE* These are very comfortable for the price. Although the material is not as fancy as a pair of velour hifiman earpads, they are definitely more soft out of the bag.

Very nice upgrade for AKG240.
Great value for the money. Product shipped in a plastic ziploc baggie, so nothing special there. Fitting the ear cups on the phones was easy to manage on the k240s. The actual plastic material that grabs onto the earpiece backing was a little flimsier than the stock ear pads but doesn't seem to be an issue. With that said, they don't fit quite as snug as the originals either. Still snug, just not as tight of a tolerance as the original. They are much less sweat inducing than the original pleather ones that came on the phones so comfort is up there. As others have mentioned, the ear opening is slightly smaller so I am more aware of the pads now, but they are not uncomfortable. No difference in sound. I'm not sure what others were talking about. These are just pads, assuming you have positioned the headphones in that same way as before, the sound does not change. Overall great buy, especially when considering the difference in price between these and the official AKG pads.

Generous size for larger headsets, comfortable
For larger headsets, a good fit. Pads are a generous size, good surround fit. Tend to slightly damp out the bass response on my headsets, not terribly but noticeable to me. You might want that as some headsets over-compensate bass response and this will tame that. Only caveat-these gather lint like a magnet! keep in a plastic bag or some other container to keep dust of, hard to clean it off! My cats don't help either....wish they'd stop using them....

These took over two months to arrive, but well worth the wait. The stock pads on the AKG K240s are leatherette and not well padded. This made them sit on the side of your head a little funny, and not very comfortably. These new earpads, with the velvet padding, sit very comfortably. I think these seal the earpad better against your head than the originals. The sound is improved as well. Mids, both high and low, are boosted; bass seems to be bumped up a bit too. Overall, I'm very pleased with these, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you have a pair of K240s.

Unfortunatble and too small without stretching (for the HD668B). The hold is rather small too so isn't comfortable on the ear.

Great fit on AKG K240 Studio. Very comfortable on skin and microfiber cloth meterial is very soft. I like these pads better than the factory pads. Fit is tight but that's how it should be. Very satisfied with these pads!

I was going to return my K240s, as they were so uncomfortable with the stock earpads. I ordered these as a cheap attempt to see if I could make the headphones useable for me. These are waaaaay more comfortable than the stock. They're a little deeper as well, but softer too, so I think they probably sit just as close to the speaker as before. Sound is similar, but maybe improved a little, as they seem to seal better. Outside noise is reduced as well. For $10,these are a steal.

Very good for the low price. Soft, comfortable, not too itchy, and overall excellent. Can't go wrong with these ones.
