I've bought and worn many of these over my adulthood so I have to give it five stars. Though it's been quite awhile since I've received it, had bad stitching on the bill and the plastic stiffener stuck out. Never bothered returning it. I'll order another one someday.

This is not what I was looking for. Compare the uber attractive model in the product listing to weird, misshapen hat-lump that was just delivered to my house.I'll be returning this one.Edit: I listened to the other reviewer who described steps to make it less itchy and Dr Seuss-y. The daughter wants it, so I tried.It worked! The top shrank down to something normal. I used some pure shea butter along with hair conditioner. The wool just drinks that stuff up. Hard to say yet if the scratchiness is gone. Increasing my rating. Lot of work for a dang hat.

I got issued one of these while I was in the military. I think it was right before we left for Afghanistan. Either way, after I got out I started wearing fleece and lost track of this hat. Now I realize how bad polyester is for you I have been switching back over to all natural fibers. This wool hat being part of that.The hat comes with a very elongated shape and is sort of itchy. These problems are easy to solve. Wash the hat in warm water in the sink with a mild detergent. I used pine tar shampoo. Next get some all natural shea butter conditioner or something similar and put about a golf ball size amount in your hand and rub it all over the wet hat. Work it in the hat for a few minutes and then give it a quick rinse or two but leave just enough conditioner that you can slightly feel it in the water. The water should have a slick feeling to it.After this, wring it out gently being careful not to stretch or tear it and then toss it in the dryer with a couple towels on high heat. Check on it every 5-6 minutes and test fit it on your head. Once it fits well simply remove it and let it air dry the rest of the way. This will ensure it is the proper shape for your head. I even wore mine around damp for a bit to get it fitting just right.

I actually like the feel of this cap. The wool is comfortable and warm. The alignment of the material above the bill is good too. I actually started wearing it backwards, but in winter I'll wear it frontwards so the hood of my jacket will be held open better by it. No complaints. I like.

Well made. Comfortable & looks good for the most part. But it runs big.I wear a 7-3/4 fitted cap & this beanie is big. Lots of extra material at the top. Maybe if I wash & dry it, it may shrink down some. Bummer. I like it, just need to make it fit better.

A comfortable, practical hat for things like ice fishing. Just enough of a bill to keep sun and precipitation out of one's eyes, and the hat is flexible enough to pull completely down over the ears if need be. If there were one in a decent camouflage pattern for hunting, I'd buy it, too, as the price seems reasonable for 100 percent wool made in the U.S.

This cap fits my size 7 1/2 head very well. The material is not itchy and you wouldn't know it is wool except for the warmth. It was colder than minus 35 Celsius this past week and I wore it daily shoveling snow. It kept my mostly bald head toasty warm.

I’bmve been looking for a beanie or toque as we call them in Canada with a brim/visor for years.This fits me perfectly, slightly snug m, and doesn’t move around or slide on my shaved head. It’s slightly itch which is to be expected considering it’s wool. I’ll be buying another 1-2!

I thought they would be a bit smaller but they’re huge. It’s a thick floppy toque with brim.

The beanie does have a little extra room at the top, but if you pull it down over your ears, which is warm, it all gets used up. Warm ears is a design feature.
