We bought this gate when our daughter started walking around 13–14 months, and we’ve been using it daily for about a year now. It has honestly been the best baby gate we’ve found. The build quality is solid, the height feels very safe, and the opening/closing mechanism is smooth and reliable. The automatic close is a huge plus — it clicks shut every time without us having to double-check it. We liked it so much that we ended up buying a second one for the stairs between our third and fourth floor, and another for the second floor hallway. Before committing to multiple gates, we tried a couple of cheaper alternatives, but they weren’t nearly as convenient. They didn’t close on their own, felt flimsier, and didn’t give us the same peace of mind. This one has been perfect for keeping our toddler safe, and I think it would work great for pets too. It is a bit pricier than some other options, but after using it for a year, I can say it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable, easy-to-use baby gate.

Hello, My husband just put together our COMOMY, black, metal gate to keep our dogs in the Family Room & Kitchen area, without being able to go into the Living Room or upstairs into the bedrooms. We are so happy we selected this gate! There were so many to choose from it was challenging to find the best one, but I think we made an EXCELLENT choice with COMOMY. Here are our reasons why: 1. The gate arrived in 2 days as promised. It also arrived in perfect condition with the few remaining parts ALL THERE. (That’s a miracle in itself these days.) 2. My husband put it together in less than 10 MINUTES. The only “tools” he used were 2, 8” metal bars (of the same dimensions) to temporarily hold the gate up off the ground 1”. (The metal bars were from his work shop.) I also held the gate steady while he tightened the 4 pressure brackets onto the walls, ( Brackets are included with the gate.) 3. This gate has the BEST & EASIEST, ONE HAND LOCK. You just push the lock down with your thumb, while simultaneously squeezing up with the rest of your fingers. It doesn’t take much pressure at all. 4. The gate swings open whichever way you want it to, which is a GREAT FEATURE! 5. The gate itself is Black with a nice finish on it. To me, the gate looks modern and sleek. It is lightweight, but very STRONG & STURDY. We do not work for this company. I am a 70 year old, retired Clinical Social Work Supervisor. My husband is a 74 year old retired Machinist. We BOTH love dogs. The gate was necessary to keep the dogs safe and out of trouble in the rest of the house. They are both Queensland Healers, medium to large in size who love to play and get rowdy together. They have never messed with the gate. They know it’s a border and leave it alone. However, if they did stand up against it, I believe the gate is strong & sturdy enough, as well as pressure mounted enough to hold their weights of approximately 40-50 lbs. each. It would certainly work for a Baby gate as well. This is the longest review I have ever written and tried to express (in detail) how great this COMOMY GATE is. I guess it’s because I looked at sooo many of the different descriptions of each gate selling on Amazon, that I’m SHOCKED I selected THE PERFECT GATE for us!! I absolutely hate having to return items, though it’s so easy with Amazon. I have absolutely NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about this product. This Comomy extra tall gate has been a perfect solution for keeping both my dog and areas of the house secure. The height (36 inches) is excellent — my dog can’t jump over it, and it adds extra peace of mind for use with children as well. Installation was straightforward, and I really appreciate how it adjusts to wide openings (up to 48.8”). It feels sturdy, the latch mechanism works smoothly, and the self-closing feature is a nice touch. The gate opens in both directions and stays open when needed, which is super convenient. Overall, great quality and value — I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a reliable, tall barrier for stairs or wide doorways.

The product itself is nice and appears well made. I was scared it would be cheap and flimsy, but its good enough. The latch and opening mechanism is way too simple. My 3yo figured it out in a day. My 2yo figured it out later that week. However, we found they'll respect the physical boundary if we're stern about it. I probably should give 3 stars because the "gate" function is hardly there, but it being relatively cheap at <$70 as of Feb 2026 lets me overlook that. Do buy wall grippers/wall nanny to go with this product.

This thing is solid- I can say that as I nearly almost just broke my toe forgetting to pick up my foot to walk over it. The gate didn’t move one inch! 🤣 Has a wide open so you don’t have to twist to get through. It does have an “auto close” but I don’t use that as much bc we are using this for a dog to be separated from kitchen while cooking. We have a 1950s ranch and this sizing was perfect. We tried a different gate and the 2 options that were available as the side pieces to make it bigger or smaller didn’t fit nicely. Had too big of gaps on sides that pressure mounts didn’t stretch far enough or than the other “bigger” side panel was to big. This was perfect! Very easy install! I’m ordering another one for hallway!

Love that this gate comes with the option to place it permanently or just use the suctions ! Easy set up and works really well. Very sturdy, easy to open and looks good too!!

The gate is pretty and stylish. Feels very sturdy. It could not have been easier to install, even with screwed-in caps. It opens and closes smoothly. Minor fault: the white sticker is unsightly but does not peel away easily, it takes time to scrape it off without scratching the paint
