I live in an area where everything is within walking distance, so I wanted a cart to carry groceries and other common items I shop for while I'm out and about. I was afraid at first from the reviews that this cart would be too big, but it was the perfect size for me to walk with comfortably and not take up too much space.PROS:Some reviewers said this was cheaply made. I don't agree at all. It has a typical metal frame for mesh baskets and the wheels are a hard, durable plastic. I have no fear of any of it bending or buckling unless I repeatedly bang it as hard as possible up against a hard surface or try to carry anvils in it, neither of which should be happening. It rolls easily over a variety of surfaces: Concrete, grass, dirt, hardwood, carpeting. I'm 5'2" and the height of the handle is perfect, similar to pushing a regular grocery cart. The extra basket in the back is just wide enough to put my bag in or to put a handful of small items, but I don't use it much.It carries a lot more than I could carry myself, so it makes doing bulk shopping a breeze and when I have a lot of slightly heavy items in it like canned and bottled goods, the wheels don't seem to struggle under the weight. It folds up easily enough for me to carry it up and down stairs but is sturdy enough for me to carry it unfolded by the sides or handle if I have things in it.CONS:The bars are spaced far apart, making the gaps in the grid pattern large, so think about the size of the things you plan to carry in it or use a liner. I discovered this issue when I first took it out for a spin at the grocery store and everything I put in it fell right through onto the floor or slid out of the side. It was hilarious, but annoying. As a temporary solution, I put the groceries in my recyclable bags instead or stacked the larger items like cereal boxes in such a way that they blocked the holes so smaller items like cans, produce, tin foil, seasonings, etc couldn't slide through. As a permanent and cheap diy solution, I added additional "bars" with duct tape to make the gaps smaller since I had a bunch of it lying around. I lined the tape so there are no sticky sides exposed. Now, I can put even small things in it without worrying about stuff falling through and it looks a bit intentional like gray striping rather than like a hack job. There's plastic tubing over the handle that I guess is meant to provide a more comfortable grip, but it slides all over the place, making the grip worse, so I'll likely fix it in place with some more good ol' duct tape or cut it off entirely. This was a minor issue. The assembly of the back wheels was sketchy. The instructions weren't that clear about how the pins provided were supposed to be used and where they were supposed to go, so make sure you do it properly. I didn't use the right pins provided and they fell out on the first run. The weight of the items I had in the cart kept the wheels from falling off, so I didn't even notice the pins were gone until I got home.I luckily had nails that were the exact thickness and length to replace the pins and used pliers to bend the ends of them neatly so they can't slide out. No more problems with the wheels. If you don't want your cart ending up like a diy project like mine, assemble it properly. Overall, this cart was exactly what I needed and I don't regret the purchase in spite of having to tweak it.

THE LITTLE CART THAT COULDN'T
How Embarrassing! I had my cart put together by my reliable son! I was so excited to finally not fear the blue finger pain of carrying tons of groceries in hand. The next day, I took my cart out for shopping purposes. The cart was fine at the walk there. I took my groceries out of the store cart into my shopping cart and headed home. I got about 100 feet from the store and the left wheel popped off and rolled away, the axle and the rest of the parts went flying every which way! Thank god the back wheels were in tact. I had to have the cart tilted the entire way home, with every few minutes, someone pointing out the obvious, "HEY LADY, YOUR FRONT WHEELS MISSIN!"I'm going to try what others tried with wire. I'm none too happy. I will keep everyone updated when I attempt to fix it!EDIT:I'm glad that i'm able to to change the starts. I changed it from 1 star to 4. This cart is very difficult to put together. My issues was that the font wheel came off while shopping. I figured out the problem. When placing the front axle on to the cart, you need to put the pins that the cart came with into the holes that actually keep the axle from coming out, then you place the plastic caps on.I lost one pin so I got a hair pin and played around with it and it worked fine. I took my cart out for another shopping excursion and I puposely beat it up, turning without pulling the cart back etc... and the cart worked great! It's all in making sure that you put the cart together the way its suppose to be.EDIT:Its three years later and my cart went kerplunk. I just threw it out. I highly recommend this cart for this huge reason which is this cart has a weight capacity of 150 pounds (so i read but am not sure) I however I would put at least 300 pounds in it such as 2 24 packs of water plus other heavy groceries on top of that. the cart lasted a long time with a lot of battery/beat up.

Excellent cart
When I received the cart there were some scratches on the paint and the parts bag had been ripped open and taped back up in aa messy ball of tape and plastic. I don't think this was Amazons fault. I was able to determine that all the parts were there anddecided to keep it.Ever since I was a kid I have worked on bikes, and go-carts and lawn mowers and cars etc. So it wasn't difficult to put this carttogether, although because I am disabled and my feet and hands hurt it was a bit awkward. The directions are printed very small, and seem to have been translated into English from some other language, so the instructions are a bit confusing. So I ignored theinstructions and divided the parts into 4 groups (there was some part left over).I suspect that many of the people that would buy this cart are either elderly or disabled, and will find it somewhat difficult to putthis cart together. If you can, see if a neighbor or friend can help you put this cart together, as it will be much easier with some help. This cart is quite sturdy for the price, it should last quite awhile. I noticed some people have commented that the wheels have fallen off, I'm sure that is because they assembled it wrong because the directions are printed very small and a bit confusing.I did cut a piece of cardboard 15X17 inches and put it inside of the liner I bought with the cart. I think it will help to keep things from falling between the wire slats in the bottom of the cart. I bought this cart because I am disabled and it has been hard to take the garbage bags to the dumpster about 60 yards away, it has also been hard to carry groceries from my car into my Condo. This cart has made these two tasks much easier.Again, I think this a great cart for the money, but many people will find it difficult to put it together and may need to have a neighbor or friend assist them with it.
