Great design, very easy to install, cheaper than custom-built alternatives
UPDATE: I installed these nearly a decade ago, and they continue to work perfectly. If you need to add a raised surface in your attic, so you can move around safely above the insulation, this solution works great. Faster, better, cheaper than any other solution I've found. In fact, this kit is cheaper than building a platform from scratch with 2x4s. Great system.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a brilliant product. Smart, simple design. Sturdy construction. Super easy to install. The fellow who created this product should win an award for solving an important problem for which there were no easy solutions prior to this product. When my house was built, they put rolls of fiberglass insulation between the ceiling joists in the attic. The insulation came up to the tops of the joists, but not above them. Newer energy efficiency guidelines call for several inches of insulation above the joists, both to provide extra insulation and also to reduce heat loss directly through the joists themselves. My problem is that there's stuff in my attic that requires maintenance from time to time (exhaust fan, solar panel wiring, etc.). Putting down additional insulation would make it difficult and unsafe to move about the attic, since I wouldn't be able to see the joists anymore.I found this product online last year, and thought it looked like a great solution, but the seller didn't have distribution in the U.S., so I built a section of catwalk / raised floor from scratch using plans I found online. This year Loft Zone is available in the U.S. via Amazon, so I ordered a kit to do another section of the attic. With the LoftZone kit, I was able to build a raised floor over an area that was twice as big in a quarter of the time at a lower cost than I spent last year on lumber and fasteners. I'm sold! This is absolutely the best, fastest, cheapest, lightest, safest way to build a raised floor in all or part of your attic, either for maintenance access or for storage. The box was shipped from the UK and arrived in about half the time the seller estimated. The box took a beating along the way, and one of the galvanized steel cross beams was bent a bit on the end, but I was able to bend it back into shape easily in a few seconds with just a pair of pliers. The kit contained everything needed, including screws; it was nice not to have to make a separate trip to the hardware store for fasteners. The manual had instructions on how to lay out the parts, but the recommended spacing was in metric and was based on standard size "loft boards," which we don't have here, so I just laid out the Tri-Supports and Uni-Supports in a pattern that would support 4x8' sheets of plywood. The description says the kit will support a 94"x94" deck (a bit under 8'x8'), but the way I laid out the supports created an 8'x16' surface (four sheets of plywood) and seemed plenty sturdy for my purposes. Installation was crazy simple -- two screws per Tri-Support, one screw per Uni-Support, slide on the steel cross beams and fasten with some additional screws. I was able to lay out and install an 8'x16' raised deck in one morning, which was a lot faster than the from-scratch project last year.Bottom line: This is a very well designed kit that's a breeze to install and is faster/cheaper than design-it-yourself solutions. It will finally let me install extra attic insulation without losing access to the attic for maintenance and storage. The guy who designed this product should win a green award, since I'm guessing this product will allow a lot of other people like me to finally add extra insulation. Great product.I'm hoping the seller will start selling individual pieces through Amazon soon (especially the Uni-Supports, which are handy for unevenly or irregularly spaced joists).

Exactly what I wanted!
Product worked just as advertised, it is awesome and very useful. Easy to install and is sturdy. Also arrived way earlier than expected, in fact amazon still thinks I'm waiting for it and I don't know how to fix that yet lol. Hope this helps.

Unique, good product with a few improvements to make to the packaging
First, this product is extremely unique. I couldn't find anything like it out there. It may seem pricey, but this is ABSOLUTELY what you should be using for attic storage if your space is insulated. It is dead simple and you will wonder why you paid all this money for it, but the beauty is in the simplicity.I haven't completely finished my install, but I've gotten far enough along to know the pros and cons. On the "pro" side, it is easy to install. It really is one of those "measure twice, cut once" situations though where you spend more time planning out the install than doing it. All of the parts you need are included EXCEPT for the decking itself. They don't include the decking because it is shipped from the UK and that would be ridiculous. I was able to find the appropriate amount of tongue and groove decking at the local home depot for total cost of less than $50 but could probably be even cheaper if you decided to use larger sheets of plywood or something. It seems extremely sturdy once assembled despite the pieces themselves all being extremely light. Shipping was MUCH quicker than originally estimated. I received mine the same day Amazon sent me a notification to tell me that it had been shipped (about 1 week). As for the cons. The most obvious is the packing of the unit itself. I know it traveled overseas, but my box of wood screws had come open during travel (no sign of tape), with screws poking out of the box and having to collect all 200 screws from the bottom and sides of the box. Seriously, put some tape on the box of screws! Luckily the whole package was wrapped in plastic so none of the rogue screws escaped but it was annoying. I also found a small piece of one of the plastic struts that had snapped off in the bottom of the box. I think it was cosmetic but it speaks to the packaging. The only other "major" con is that this kit (and its instructions) are a) entirely in Metric and b) entirely geared toward 24" joists. I (along with many people) have 16" joists, so I ended up spacing the triangle struts with two joists between them, and as such decided that I would stagger the I-beams to distribute the load between the two joists. This was not specified in the instructions or if it was, it wasn't very clear. All in all though, this is a great product. The price might be a little steep but it's likely easier than building it yourself unless you are Norm Abrams and it is truly the right way to do it.

Great product for attic storage
Fantastic product the Brits came up with for building stoarage platforms above attic insulation.Installed in my daughter’s southern home where there is all kinds of stuff running across ceiling joists (e.g. electrical wires, gas supply line, cable, speaker wire, HVAC runs, plumbing supply runs).I used 1/2 inch maple and birch plywood as the loft sheets.Would highly recommend. Directions are clear and easy to understand.I did change up a few things but I have a building background. If you don’t you can do this!

Great product. Easy to install.

Works, but only if attic is straight and aligned
So if the attic joists are slight uneven or not lined up street then the design of this product won’t work properly. Fortunately I could rig something together to make it work, but it’s not perfectly flat. Also the vertical bars can wobble from side to side which makes me worry some times, but they are pretty sturdy

Cleaver
Just installed insulation in attic and didn't want storage boxes smashing insulation padding. These definetly solve that problem. Make sure you measure your floor to roof space cuz these stick up a full inch to the ground and you can't cut them down because they're made out of metal.
