Easy addition to my WS-5000
Worked flawlessly. Just set the appropriate dip-switches, insert the batteries, and that data will pop up on the console of your WS-2000 or your WS-5000. Others too, probably but we can only speak to these two stations.

Great before my pool robot ate it!
It was a little awkward to set up at first with the ambient weather station monitor as the instructions were quite dark and difficult to read, I ended up downloading the manual online, one it was connected the WiFi worked great from the pool to the house the temperature was accurate as we have a thermometer in the pool as well, it’s just a little difficult to get to it, but both had the same reading and the reading was easy to follow on the monitor too. The device was quite sturdy and stood up to high temperatures and all was good until we forgot to take out the probe one day and our robot ate it and dragged the device into the pool too. RIP in peace monitor! We bought the floating one now!

Tells Water Temp But is Off on the Humidity
Purchased a new Ambient Weather WH31P sensor for my pool to replace another WH31P sensor that was damaged when inserting it in the WH31-SRS Solar Shield I purchased to protect the WH31P from the rain and direct sunlight.Sensor works great except in addition to showing the water temperature in the Ambient Weather app on my phone, it is also showing a 'Humidity' level, the 'Dew Point', and 'Feels Like' readings, which it isn't supposed to display.I emailed Ambient Weather support on 2/20/24 to find out how to get rid of the other readings, but the only thing I've gotten back from Ambient was the ticket number (101794) they opened. I like the Ambient Weather products I have, but their support for their product is lacking if you need help.

Super Easy Setup
I purchased this as an ad-on for my Ambient Weather Station to monitor greenhouse temperature, soil temperature and humidity from the app and my indoor display. The set up was effortless: remove the back cover, toggle the pins to select the channel you wish to use (instructions included), insert the battery, replace the cover and BOOM - it automatically connects via Wi-Fi. Mind you, will need a strong Wi-Fi signal. I'm my case, I installed 200' radius Linksys extender in my garage.

Great for monitoring our pond and pool temps
We've had an Ambient Weather System for years now. After five or so years of being out in the elements, our pond temperature sensor finally crapped out. Understandable, given that it's out in the rain and freezing or super hot temps all year round. I was glad to be able to purchase a replacement at a reasonable price. Now we can keep an eye on our koi pond temps again!

Works well as a pool thermometer.
Adding this device to my WS-5000 was pretty easy and, compared to getting a stand-alone wireless thermometer, it was very affordable. I don't have any way of telling how accurate it is, but I simply adjusted it to the same temp as the built-in pool thermometer (via the display console), and I'm quite happy with that. The adjustment I made applies to the central display and the web page display and not the read-out on the device itself, but I rarely look at the device itself. I used a different thermometer in an attempt to measure this one, and it was the same so I have to assume they are all pretty close to being accurate. I attached the waterproof probe to the side of the pool with waterproof tape and it all works quite well. Recommended.

Didn't work for me
My first sensor arrived and connected easily with my Ambient WS 5000 weather station. However after several days of use it was apparent it was off 6 degrees from all my other similar sensors. So I exchanged it with Amazon. When the replacement arrived last night, it was in a torn box, was not wrapped in the normal bubble wrap, and the screws and zip tie were missing. It was nothing but a used sensor dropped into a torn box and sent to me. That's going back today. I will not buy another one. Whoever just dropped this sensor into an empty box and sent it out should be looking for a new job.
