Great for getting to grips with heavy things. Extremely strong.
The media could not be loaded. I have been tempted to try one of these, or probably more likely two of these for a while now. Our day-to-day need is not great but the times when we need to move something heavy and the getting a good 'handling grip' is difficult I reckon these would pay for themselves very quickly indeed. Sometimes it's not a full 'lift' that's needed but just a slight lifting of the weight off the floor to help with the shifting of the heavy object.I know that the CONVY HEAVY DUTY SUCTION CUP is primarily intended for use with glass, and obviously the suction on glass is incredible. It can also help with other items that have a smooth exterior finish. These might include freezers, some furniture, heavy polished wood objects etc. Another use can be to (with the addition of rope) support something in place by 'suction clamping' the item to a solid surface.I have now tried this suction cup on many things around the house and it's incredibly capable of giving a good grip on lots of heavy objects. Obviously, when not using it on glass, the potential strength of the grip is going to be reduced so extra care needs to be taken when using. NEVER presume that the suction cup will always hold the item secure... so keep feet and hands and any other things away from underneath the object in case the suction can't cope. It's a case of using common sense and extra caution - but this suction cup, in the right situations, can help immensely with the moving of heavy objects. The CONVY HEAVY DUTY SUCTION CUP seems really sturdy (as one would expect) and I was amazed how effective it was when I went on a 'testing expedition' around our property. The 4.5" diameter rubber suction pad does not damage surfaces when handled with care, and the handles are comfortable.I would recommend giving the rubber suction cup a wipe over with a slightly damp cloth prior to using, mainly to get rid of any tiny specs or debris that may be on the rubber which would reduce the efficiency of the grip.

Holds on tight even if the thing is too heavy to lift
We tried the CONVY FINDER heavy duty suction cup.I wanted to try this to see if it will make an anchor point for fixing things on the van.We have tried suction cups before and found them wanting due to size or material. The quality of this one is absolutely perfect. No paint faults, no odd sticking out bits or holes. It is 4 and 1/2inches in diameter across the bottom so you can get your four fingers through the handle grip easily. The suction bit is real Rubber you can smell it, it is just like new Welly smell when Wellies were actually made of Rubber. Its 1/4" thick. The rest of the tool is Cast Aluminium which if you have ever had cast Aluminium pans you will know can be tough .IT grabs onto literally anything flat and smooth.I tried an unvarnished pine table and it lifted it(well I did but it was acting as the handle).IT can lift heavy bits of 3/4" furniture board shelving.I tried it on our steel filing cabinet........IT stuck to it like glue and you could see the outer shell pulling up as the handle was pulled. It didnt lift it but then I cant lift it anyway as it is far too heavy . The point is, it didnt let go however hard I pulled and that is the main thing.Given that it can do that, it is reasonable to assume you could pull dents on metal using it.I wish we had had it a few weeks back when we were errecting a metal shed and needed to move a heavy awkward bit with no real hand holds. This easily fills the purpose we wanted it for and has many other uses.No idea how this is priced but if the price were right, having 2 or more would make shifting furniture , making flat pack wardrobes etc, so much easier.Good bit of kit.

A good quality, highly versatile tool that works way better than my expectations
The Convy Heavy Duty Suction Cup is a quality tool with lots of applications. I had tried smaller and cheaper suction cups in the past and was disappointed in their performance. The Convy wasn’t that much bigger and I was sceptical that its performance would match its description. When the package arrived, its modest weight added to my scepticism, but on opening and examining the Convy suction cup, its quality and the strength and durability of its materials gave me scope for hope.It is easy to use on a flat, smooth surface and the grip is amazing. We have a fitted kitchen and when an item needs to be removed for maintenance or replacement, it is difficult to find a space to get a good grip. I usually end up lifting from the inside of an appliance and dragging it out, with most of the force applied in lifting instead of pulling. The washing machine in particular is hard to handle and move as there is little clearance at the top or on the sides for lifting and dragging, so it was a pleasant surprise (and relief) when the Convy took a firm grip of the machine, just below the door, and let me begin to pull it forward. It was just a test as I didn’t need to remove it, but now I know I can. With its cast aluminium frame and rubber suction cup, I now have no doubt that this tool will last a long time and save me lots of time and effort, yet I’ve only just started finding uses for it. It is a great addition to my tool box and is real value for money.
