Replacement Stylus Pen for Nintendo 3DS XL 5 Piece Black

I wanted an official replacement from Nintendo (which seemed so cheap at first) but then I saw the exorbitant shipping fee they charge and how long delivery would take. This item (or these items, I suppose, since it comes with five in total) was roughly the same price with free and fast shipping. Now there WAS rough patches on the top end of each stylus so if that's something which might bother you, I recommend filing it down (be careful, but hey, you've got five tries to get it just right). I would've liked a more precise tip but it's definitely precise enough and nicely rounded to avoid any potential damage to the touch screen. Moreover, it seems to be a reasonable soft plastic which probably wouldn't damage the screen easily in the first place. I haven't had too much experience with it just yet but it seems to hold up well and does its job.It's also worth noting that this thing will REALLY stick in the slot. Trying to get it out with your finger alone proves difficult but if you just hook the tip of your fingernail in instead, it pops right out oddly enough. Some others recommend threading a small string or something through a hole at the top for easy removal but I don't see a need for that once you get the hang of it with your fingernail (and mine are stubby). My final note is just a reminder that these ARE for the Old 3DS XL. They will work on the newer model but they will NOT fit in the slot. So make sure this is the right product for your device. If you're not sure, read the back of your device. Older models will have the year 2010 printed on them whereas the newer models should have 2014-2015 if I'm not mistaken. You may also Google images of each one and compare the button design and placement to yours.And just in case this isn't obvious, these styluses are not meant for any version of the DS, 2DS or standard 3DS. They will ONLY fit inside the Old 3DS XL.

Fits snugly in our Wii U, perfect replacement and timely, since a game we were starting to play required it! Very satisfied with the product.

They are made for the 3DS XL but when you click it in place it is extremely hard to get back out. It went flying across the room one time! Lol! Besides that it’s okay if you have no other options for a stylus.

it might be my fault, but I assumed these would fit inside the new nintendo 3DS XL, but they do not. They are about a 1/4 inch too long. they other wise work fine as a stylus and you get 5 of them so I can't really complain.

This product is great! The 5-pack is excellent for me because I tend to lose the stylus regardless of whether it's attached to the 3DS or not. They fit perfectly into my original model 3DS XL. Note that these are NOT for the New 3DS XL. If your 3DS has the little c-stick nub on the right bottom bezel, this stylus will NOT fit in your device.

They work, but to make things easier use a twist tie or a bit of string to create a tag which can be pulled on for removal. No issues after that.

Lost my stylus somewhere, these are an exact replacement and they fit snug with the 3dsXL that i have. They actually fit even better then the original stylus that I have always been using

the tips are not a soft plastic like the original DS pens you'll most likely need to round out the tip as i had bits of plastic sharp edges.. otherwise for the price and quantity they do the trick

Tight fit, so they don't fall out, ridges so they are easier to grab. Cheap and you get 5!

Assembly quality is cheap… the end that touches the screen is not polished/rough. I scratch my 3ds xl screen with this product (a mint special 3ds edition) don’t buy this if you love your 3ds XL buy the real nintendo one
