Very helpful
I like the way the chapters are setup without overwhelming any one topic. It helped me organize how I wanted to approach my new hobby. Great pictures and very useful information.

Lovely resource
I was inspired by the book but gave it 4 stars because I think the author's enthusiasm is hampered a bit by the repetition in each section. I see why she laid out the info as she did, but I think for someone to use it--rather than read through it--the charts section could have focused on uniting the information about growing and soaking etc instead of having separate charts for each stage of each kind of similar seed/grain. Having given a bit of negative feedback, let me say the pictures are beautiful, the personality of the book is wonderful, the section on different kinds of sprouters is invaluable. That particular information follows just what I have seen in 6 months of sprouting: Some sprouters work better for some types of seeds. But the EasySprouter it great in general. Though it has nothing to do with the book, Mrs Galchus' company is also a great source of sprouting seed!

GREAT book, loaded with lots of details on every aspect of sprouting
Great book for beginners. The author leaves no stone unturned if you are new to sprouting. She discusses various ways to sanitize sprouts. She discusses ALL the possible containers and, for example, tells you how to do broccoli sprouts in all of them. I advise getting this book before you start sprouting- strongly recommend it because it will make all your other sprouting decisions easier. You will feel that you are sprouting safely which is important. If you have been sprouting for years, this might not be the book for you (although I bet any level from novice to experienced sprouter) would find some good tips in here. Some recipes are included although this is not primarily a recipe book. IF I had a friend who wanted to start sprouting, I would buy this for them. And, having sprouted broccoli seeds and lentils so successfully, I am trying to create converts and will buy this book for them.

Great book for a novice to get started sprouting
This is a great overview for getting started sprouting. She goes over the different utensils and which seeds or beans work best in each. Also the germination and harvest times for some seeds and beans. This helped me plan how to go beyond just sprouting alfalfa and broccoli seeds, although they are so easy and tasty on salads and sandwiches. She gives recipes to make mixes of sprouts for a yummy way to make a more complex taste. Iβm super happy with this purchase. Iβve shared it with friends.

Great basic reference guide to sprouting.
Written by the owner of the Sprout House, an online supplier of all things Sprout-y, this is a lady who knows her sprouting. It gives a good overall picture of all the techniques and equipment that are needed for sprouting, and serves as a great reference book for all different types of seeds, include those pesky gelatinous ones.

A great how-to on sprouting!
I wanted a good DIY sprouts "recipe" type book. I already knew I wanted to get into sprouting but wanted to know how to do it.Other books that were recommended to me were HEAVY on the sprout pushing and sprout miracle health claims, but LIGHT on the actual how-to.This book has a little bit about the healthfulness of sprouting but a WHOLE LOT of in-depth information about the how-tos of sprouting, and covers sprouting a variety of seeds/beans/grains.

Got this yesterday, I have sprouts processing right now~
THE best book on sprouts I have read (and thats probably all of them), no doubt. Prior to this book, I was fairly unclear on the process: there are so many seeds with varying degrees of needs for rinsing/attention/length of germination-- then there is the dizzying number of sprouting vessels..OY! Wish I had this years ago, I am sure I would be healthier now!

Sprout Lady Rita wrote a great book about how to grow your own sprouts
Sprout Lady Rita wrote a great book about how to grow your own sprouts. Very clearly laid out with 200 color photographs used in the step-by-step directions. I have been sprouting for decades and found some very useful insights into sprouting. Really enjoyed her easy style of writing. Great book for the novice and the veteran sprouter.

Lacking
A lot of the information was repeated throughout the book. I bought it thinking the section on pets would be more informative but it wasn't. It also lacked a chart on what vitamins/minerals etc are contained in each type of sprout.

Book looks pretty on bookshelf though
will re-sell, information not very helpful or unique or time saving. Can find same information online anywhere. Book looks pretty on bookshelf though.

Book for the novice sprouter
A bit repetitive to say the least, but at least it does get the main points over to the budding sprouter. Easy to follow and nice clear pictures and text.
