I bought this to clean a mattress after someone had an accident. So far it seems to have worked. I was surprised to learn it can also be used to clean windows without any chemicals. You still have to wipe off the water, but it seems to work a lot easier than window spray, vinegar, newspaper, etc. I steamed the wrinkles out of a shirt today. It did work--I used it in the same manor you'd use an iron. I'm not sure it's any less trouble than using an iron, though. Maybe there's an easier way to steam, but I had the characteristic wrinkles you get after you wash a button-down cotton shirt--along the button placket, pocket flaps, collar--and just shooting steam at it didn't seem to be doing anything but getting it wet. It would probably work for wrinkles in a skirt or pants legs--that sort of thing--but not for the wrinkles I had. I haven't finished experimenting with this steamer, but I've an idea I'll find all sorts of uses for it. I am using distilled water though the instructions don't call for that. It just seems like a good idea. Steam irons require distilled water, and this will likely also work better and longer and with less maintenance on mineral-free water.

It really works very well. I'm totally satisfy with Handheld Steam Cleaner, but attention: depends on the period of time you use, be carefull to refil the tank. First of all, turn off the electric power, after that wait at about 4 minutes to refil with water. If you replace water in the hot tank, there is a risk to boilover and you can burn your hands or fingers.

My Shark hand held steamer suddenly died on me and I needed a replacement.Surprised at the very reasonable price for this little steamer. I was pleasantly surprised.Small but mighty! Really does the job.I use it to clean around the kitchen faucet and the stove.Great in the bathroom for the toilet and shower.I would recommend this product.

It does boil water. Maybe I can use it to make tea. It is not good for anything else. I followed the instructions very carefully and I press the trigger but instead of a burst of steam, I get dripping hot water. More steam escapes from the safety valve than from the spray nozzle. This one must be damaged so I will send it back.

Arrived in time and works great. Little bit of water if you let it heat too much before use with a fresh tank. But one of the best handhelds I've had. And based on the price I would rate it higher than some of the more expensive models.

Nice little hand steamer. A bit of a learning curve though. Like how you need to let it spray for about 15 seconds until you get actual steam instead of just hot water spray. Overall definitely worth the price.

The caption for this product misrepresents what it is capable of doing. As it states that it is ideal for cleaning carpets, I assumed that it would remove dirt. After all, that is the definition of cleaning. I purchased it to clean an area rug. Once I assembled it and read the manual several times, it was apparent to me that it would not remove dirt from a carpet as The product description claims. However, the user manual makes no such mention of this application. The product will not suction back the dirty water. The user will be left with a steaming wet dirty rug. I am returning this product to the seller, and plan to purchase another product which really will clean a dirty rug.

We ordered this to get some cleaning done and rid some pesky critters. Even after letting this heat up for at least 5 minutes prior to trying to use it, it wasn't always steam. Sometimes, it was still on the liquid/steam side. Just didn't seem to get as hot as I expected it to get. I don't recommend it. The accessories were made of good quality.
