Thus far it has worked flawlessly. You simply plug it and it works. I have tested all the ports except the simms port.

Wow, where do I start... Only gave 1 star because no stars isn't an option.When you plug it in you only see a QR code. That code takes to the App Store when you need to download an app that is supposed to update your firmware. Except that the code listed under the QR code (I guess that is supposed to help you figure out what series you have) doesn't match any of the firmware updates in the app - note - you have to open each "series" to look for your version. And don't even think about trying the back arrow, just quit the app and start over, save yourself a headache and a broken screen from banging on it!OK, maybe the website in the microscopic instruction paper would have info - NOPE!!! it open in Chinese (I guess) and when you translate to English it says the site is down...The Lightning plug is a big, so it may not fit with some cases. Not a marking on the entire adapter, anywhere!The only good things I have to say is that it didn't damage my phone (although there is probably software send my info back to the motherland as I write this) and the bag it came in is rather nice...DON'T BOTHER...

Product worked as advertised

The cable I received does not work at all to start with. What you see on screen is simply a bar code. That bar code takes you to the Drong Cast app, which you need to install in order to "update" the cable. The app is extremely clunky- it requires you to attempt to identify which cable you have from tiny thumbnail pictures, then download a large file, which in my case turns out not be the one I need because I guessed wrong about what "series" of cable I bought. The Amazon site is not remotely helpful because not only is the "series" listed with the item, it doesn't even mention that this is a Drong Cast brand cable. I've still not been able to identify which "series" I have and download the right update, but I'm sure I've downloaded some viruses as a result of this process. And more importantly, why do I need an update for an adaptor cable in the first place? I feel like I'd be better off had I just lit money on fire rather than spend my time trying to make this P.O.S. work.

Pardon me for being naive, but because I haven't ordered a huge amount from Amazon, I thought the Amazon name, and the words "Apple Certified" for this product, would mean something. They don't. Only after discovering it didn't work did I look at reviews, and found that I wasn't the first to learn this the hard way. As others mentioned, all it does is display a QR code, with absolutely no explanation of what to do with it. On the bright side, the return was fairly easy.

This product is awful it is not actually worked yet. I purchased this because I have to connect my MacBook to TVs regularly at work.Plugged into my TV and nothing… Double checked all my wires plugged it in again and the most horrific sound started coming out of my TV and iPad I unplugged everything and turned it off. Ridiculous. I’ll buy the adapter from here on out rather than this thing
