Dance of the Dragon (The Firestorm Dragon Chronicles Book 2)

This story was much darker then the first and third books in the series. Nyte warns readers in the beginning that it is a dark read and that it contains a lot of triggers. Heed this warning. Sexual, physical, and emotional abuse are all present and some scenes are graphic. Child abuse also present in a few scenes as flashbacks. I think this book is a better representation of a dragon story than the first book. I connect the violence and dark nature more with this genre. Learning about Gabby’s history was heart wrenching but made it all the more sweet to experience her growth and saving.

This story has a bit of a darker past when it comes to the female character and I love where it took us. I love the world in these books it a place you want to go and visit. Another great couple.

I liked the story, the characters, and the fast pace. The bad grammar and misspelled words were annoying, however .

This is book 2 of the series. I have read book one but I was a little lost at the beginning of this story. I have not read the 2 books of the Nocturne Falls Universe series so that might help. In saying that once you get into the story you are good. Wow what a story.Gabby has been through hell and is still there. There were times in this story it was hard to read - the anger and pain you feel for this character is overwhelming. Taryn heard about Gabby but does not believe she is his lifemate so their first encounter does not go smooth! This story has the couple dealing with trust, ptsd, triggers and building up Gabby's confidence. The trust was long and worth every word read. To have someone love you enough to really see what you need was amazing. Going back to the Hollow was great. The last book did not give much detail - this book give you more! When we read of these new worlds or places it helps to "see" them through words. Now not pages of descriptions but enough to know and this time it was great.I enjoyed this book and the hints in this story about some of the characters I am excited about the upcoming books !!!

Well...I didnt realize this is book 2 until a bit into it. So, initially there was some confusion at the beginning. I'll have to read book 1 to probably get a better picture of it all. I really enjoyed this one though. I really felt for Gabby she's got the most horrible Mother if you can call her that. Your heart breaks for her and gets you in the feels and its truly sad. She's so tormented and lives in hell. Taryn's character is awesome and he sees her and just wants to protect her and take care of her. He's got a little bit to go for her to trust anyone let alone him. Its a strong feeling book and it might not be easy for some to read and I had to set it aside once. Writing was done well and by the end I loved it.

Kira Nyte knows how to grab her readers and not let go until the final page. Her books are full of dragons, their mates and a race of beings intent on killing every last dragon. Luckily for us readers dragons don't kill easily. I love how this author created a world within a world for the dragons to live in . The Hollow sounds amazing and I can picture in my head. Taryn and Gabriella are the perfect match one so broken and one hiding from society because of what he is. Gabriella shows so much strength in trying to move on and live her life after an abhorrent childhood. Taryn is very nearly the perfect man for Gabby as he will let her move forward at her own pace and love her all the way. This book was written with great love by the author. You feel her care and love of each character even her secondary ones are written with great depth. I recommend this series. This book does cover a darker topic that may have triggers for some. I loved this book and this author is one all should consider.

A darkly delicious paranormal romance full of Dragons and magic. I enjoyed the story and how attentive the characters were with each other. It was beautiful to see the sweet romance build between the two of them.

This book is not an easy read in some places as it slowly comes out what Gabby's mom put her through. Please head the note that this book is darker. There may be triggers for some people as things come out. I loved the way this book was put together. One because characters from the first book are back and they are more than just a side note. Two it's not sunshine and rainbows and that's ok because life usually isn't either. Taryn has to fight his initial thoughts of what Gabby is going to be like due to knowing who her mother is. He's in for a rude awakening as he finds out what she's really like. Gabby has to fight her inner demons after years with her mother. There is violence, explicit adult content, and some very dark moments.
