Good quality fit the mounting points for my w350 1990 ram perfectly, thick metal and strong coating, only gripe is the 1/2 hole for a breaker bar is sloppy, i wrapped some electrical tape on the 1/2 ratchet to fill in the hole a bit.

I have several yoke holding tools for several applications. This tool covers nearly every application. I really like the puller plate that comes with it. Very sturdy construction. Although it is very hard to find a bolt (12mm x 1.25) long enough to use in it. I bought a long bolt and turned it down in the lathe then threaded it to the head. Also tapered the tip of it.

I had my father-in-law hold this tool as I was tightening the pinion nut. After a while he was unable to hold it so we let it lay against the floor while I torqued the pinion nut as I kept checking the pinion preload. Mind you, I did this on a mid-rise lift so I am not sure how well it would work on jack stands.

Worked great! I recommend using a 3/4 breaker bar to hold the pinion flange in place.

Would be good for 1/2 ton or smaller applications. Did not work for my 3/4 ton truck. The larger plate and the smaller plate both bent upon trying to remove the yoke from my rear axle. In the tool's defense it was stuck on there very well, 18 year old truck.

In the past when doing a ring and pinion I've had to hold the yoke still with a giant Crescent wrench; this is a much better way to do it.I've always wanted one of these tools. Solid construction with no flaws in the metal and it fits 1/2 inch ratchet perfectly.I like that there's plenty of space in the center hole to fit your socket so you don't have to use a thin wall socket.It bolts up to most yolks that I've tried so far so you can use it on multiple differential types.Overall very good value and I would highly recommend getting one if you do differential rebuilds.

Works great. The puller/cross bar should be twice as thick or more robust as I tweaked mine removing a relatively easy yoke

I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality tools, and equipment. This pinion flange holding tool and flange remover is a nice tool to have in the tool box. Will work on a lot of different differential flanges and will assist when tightening against a crush sleeve. Price point is considered reasonable for this item.
