Well written
This was well written and had romance and some action. I would recommend for anyone who struggles with anxiety and was proud...SPOILER...That it didn't stop Kennedy from finally living her life.Nice story.

fun story
I liked Zen’s story but it was kind of long and drawn out. Still I would read more of this series and the other characters definitely interested me. Four stars!

loved it!
This is my first rockstar romance and it didn’t disappoint!! It could get a little cheesy at first but in the end it was a great read overall!

Won't cure your mental conditions if you have a hot bf
I am all for bad boy rock star romance. I had my hopes up. Unfortunately this book let me down. First, we have our mmc, who is borderline depressed and alcoholic, but at least suffering from a severe burnout. Bad boy singer of a band. Then we have the fmc, the sweet and beautiful girl next door. Apperantly, she has severe issues with anxiety and panic attacks. Put the two together, and you could expect disaster. That surely happens, but not the way you think. Because mmc and fmc instafall in love, and all of their issues go away. Yes, just like that. Mmc never drinks a drop more, gets rid of groupies and r&r lifestyle, and becomes this good boy, with no personality traits. His whole personality becomes to be the boyfriend. He searches the internet! on how to help with anxiety and then the fmc becomes able to get rid of all the fear and anxiety and engage in all sorts of activities, that may be overwhelming for a healthy person even (like going out in public with a rock star). What could not be solved with years of therapy, is now cured because your hot bf tells you to breath. So in summary the mental health aspect is handled poorly and unreaisticly. There are a lot of missing background details. Where was fmcs family, when she suffered all the abuse, that led to her issues? She is supposedly soul mates with his twin, then how could that all go on for so long without him knowing and helping. The plot is flat, the solution for the stalker problem is also unrealistic and unnecessarily complicated. Mmc supposedly has good security, but it cannot stop random naked women to appear in his house, that is guarded and is in a gated community?! Last, but not least, the synopsis, that you can read in the product description, gives off a very different vibe, than the book. It looks like we will get a story of a bad boy and a good girl with excitement and complications. There is really no excitement and complications. There is only too sweet instalove with people who forgot to have personality traits outside of loving each other. The spice was ok, but repetitive. The book is also way too long for the tiny amount of action going on. Sometimes it feels dragged out.

RockStar Love
This was book 1 in the "Shadow Phoenix" Zen Taylor has it all he is a hot sexy rock star with a popular band Shadow Phoenix he has women throwing themselves at him. When he is roofied and almost kidnapped he is saved by a woman. Kennedy Adams is a bookstore owner who was in the right place at the right time she saved a man from being kidnapped. Kennedy had no idea that the hot sexy man that she saved was a rock star. Zen can't believe is hot sexy sweet woman came to his rescue. After a sex tape scandal, he is sent up to Washington to wait for the publicity to die down. Kennedy who has anxiety doesn't leave her apartment much. I liked both of these characters Zen is hot and sexy and very protective of her. These two have some hot sexy chemistry. When the word gets out that Zen is in town the paparazzi begins stating out her store and Zen's crazy stalker begins targeting Kennedy. This was a really good read and my first time reading this author. I loved the secondary character's in this book and I loved Kennedy's best friend. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Meh...
The plot was weak. Saw the stalker coming from the beginning. The fact that no one else did makes for poor characters in my opinion. Way too repetitive. Same thoughts, same dialogue. Weak character development. As someone who suffers anxiety, part of that was accurate but its not something you just magically get over, learn to deal with sure, but it doesn't ever just go away. Not enough drama what so ever. Dragged on so long I'm surprised I finished it. The love story was cute from time to time. Not my personal cup of tea. The timeline was completely inaccurate throughout the entire book. It went from several weeks to a couple of months, to three weeks. It made it extremely difficult to gage the amount of time passing in any given situation. The character s were either absolutely horrible people or absolutely in love with the fmc. Made for boring story.

Another Booktok fail - DNF
Oh my Thor is this book bad! And yes, that’s a phrase the heroine uses. I honestly can’t even understand these two whatsoever. You have Zen: bad boy rockstar, alcoholic, different woman (or women) in bed every night, never wants to be in a relationship, dealing with sex tape scandal, and just got roofied and almost kidnapped from a bar. Meets heroine and instantly wants to be her boyfriend because she’s hot and doesn’t know who he is. Then there’s Kennedy: extreme social anxiety to the point that she can barely go out in public, breaks out sweating at the thought of going to a restaurant, years in therapy over a past trauma from hs. Meets hero being kidnapped, drags him into her apartment, gives him her keys the next day, not to mention the fact that she’s perfectly capable of operating a business and interacting with customers all day no problem. It’s like not even the author could keep them true to the initial characters she’s describing. Plus the mental health stuff was handled so terribly (she goes to years of therapy, but he just googles it and everything is all better). This is 100% instalove with full personality transplants the second they meet. I couldn’t suspend my belief any longer, so it was a DNF for me.

this was a bit like reading a teenager's fairytale diary of wishful thinking
So to be fair, the story has potential. The characters are likeable but oh so perfect you want to hate them. The trials and tribulations felt force-fed and every segue was on the verge of being insultingly obvious in the way it handheld us through the process. The first half of the book needed a serious case of grammar and consistency checks, the language swapping from first to third-person, to present and past tense. Better editing could have significantly improved the reading experience, and more proofing---oh good, the proofing!---could have done some wonders. It was cute...in that “aww, bless” kind of way. That’s all I can fairly say. I wouldn't say it's grown-up reading, aside from the somewhat obligatory R-rated scenes common to the “bad boy/rock star” trope and subgenre.Sorry. 🤷♀️

Predictably perfect
Sometimes you need a happy ending guarantee with a bad boy turned good for the right woman...and this delivered!I read a variety of romance, from dark and super spicy to tame and fade to black. This was a perfect middle of the road between them. A rockstar romance with flawed but fantastic characters that you really rooted for.It was predictable and I recognised the twist really early on, but I don’t hate that sometimes!Definitely going to be reading more by this author

Good read
This was a good read the characters were all good the storyline was too but it could of been a bit more racy , we are talking rock stars here that's why it's only 3* for me

Better than first book
I liked this book so much better than the first one, only compliant was that the sex and lovey dovey scenes were a bit too frequent and I found myself skipping these sections as they were quite repetitive.

A very good read
Couldn't put it down, read it in a few hours. Got sucked in, and gripped. Lost the track of time.
