The Spirit of Christmas

This is one of my go to movies!

This has turned into one of my favorite Christmas movies that I have to watch every Christmas season!

This is my most favorite Christmas story story. I watched this at least two or three times during the Christmas holiday.

Video is a good quality. The movie is fantastic. Right up my alley again. Hallmark never disappoints. Watched it over and over and over even out of season times.

Honestly, this is a terrible movie and there's no reason I should like it. I almost stopped watching after the second scene where they introduce Kate's romantic issues. Like, why stay in a romantic relationship if you're not interested? Is she just that needy? Or is she a sociopath? They should have cut that scene. Given the choice, I would rather have followed the guy's story. But her character does become more likeable in the following scene.The actors emphasize the wrong words of the sentences (and sound unnatural because some phrases end on a higher tone than they started), the "historical" clothing and haircuts look like they walked out of Abercrombie & Fitch, the morals and plot line are illogical. Yet somehow, it still captures my attention and I've watched it many times... perhaps because I'm still trying to figure out how all of the pieces fit together. There's no clear reason why the ghost is "freed" at the end. And even when they explain the 12-day curse/miracle, it still doesn't really explain the goal of it. Was he supposed to find love? Was he supposed to forgive? Was it his generosity? Was it that he finally understood some key points? What was the point?All of the romantic parts of the movie feel very forced. Like, why is Daniel the ghost considering romance at all when he supposedly was very committed to his wife and wants to "move on"? Half the things they say to explain their decisions make absolutely no sense. But hey, they really want this romance to happen. There is a shirtless scene for the ghost as he (very randomly) irons his shirt. Some of the actors' blocking looks awkward. As someone else pointed out, there's also no reason for him to choose the new girl he just met over his committed wife at the end... especially since he says that his life with his wife doesn't feel like that long ago.I recommend this movie to anyone who is willing to throw all logic right out the window and suspend disbelief in favor of an oddly charming romantic movie.

it has everything! Haunting, comedy, romance, a mystery!!!! All in the perfect christmas movie. I had to buy it bc i watch it every year and it wasnt on any streaming sites this year😭 if you love lifetime cheesy chick flicks this is for you!

From beginning to end, couldn't stop watching it. I watch it any time of the year, love stories with ghosts yep are the best. I wonder where it was filmed. Nice looking inn.
