Saye should have a standalone novel
I must admit I really like this version and as always I love the ‘what if’ explorations of Lizzy and Fitzwilliam’s relationship. What surprised me was how much I liked the character of Saye. He was charming, lovable, diabolical and deliciously hilarious!! I’m all up for a novel with this character as the MC!

Amazing 💗
I read a LOT of P&P varieties and it's been a long time since I was delighted with any as I was with this offering. You like all the characters, the relationships are built beautifully and believably and there are some great twists to the plot as well. Truly 100% recommended!

Ok writing but so frustrating
I don’t mind JAFF in which the basic nature of the main characters are varied too, as long as there is a valid reasoning & proper character arc. In fact some of my favorites have an E&D so unlike the original but so well done & real. This E&D were just all over the place. Darcy keeps behaving like an ass inspite of E clearly explaining her view of him just like she does in the original hunsford proposal. It takes things to finally come to a head when he actually sees some sense.Elizabeth is so wishy washy & either manages to overlook, ignore & forgive D’s shitty behavior time & again. This just justifies Darcy’s repeated pig headedness. Even with the main argument in the end all is forgiven & forgotten in one day!!!Elizabeth does all her own courting on Darcy’s behalf & he just swan’s through it with mild effort.I have noticed this repeatedly with this author’s works. All emotional issues are quickly swept under any available carpet to make way for a progressing plotline. It is funny & light so there’s that.

Delicious!
Ms D'Orazio has done it again. What a delightful morsel this is. I laughed and cried, more the former than the latter. Witty and artfully written, I cannot wait for the next one!

A great read
Light and amusing . Though for me one of the highlights of the book was Lord Saye. He really needs his own series . Just love him

Original variation plot, good character development
Great variation. Well written and loved the personalities of the protagonists. Interesting and compelling take on Georgiana’s issues. Only disliked the continuous mention of how small, slender, pale, etc. Elizabeth is.

So material a change
I really liked this variation, as Elizabeth hasn't lost her independent, smart, quick-witted identity and a more ardent and passionate Darcy. The book in a delightful mood and ups and downs that kept me hooked until the end.

Completely, utterly delightful- read it
Don't pause, read further, just get it. This is a truly wonderful book, best JAFF I've read in a while. Not going to include spoilers here as you'll want to go in blind and just savor all of it.Amy D'Orazio has quickly become one of my favorite go to JAFF authors for consistent, well written, entertaining and lively stories. The trope might be typical but she always seems to write creative variations with twists that surprisingly I have not seen before and I've read a lot of variations. Her sense of humor is fantastic, her creation of Lord Saye is the secret sauce. A wickedly, laugh out loud funny, scene stealing character. While a minor P&P character, Ms. Amy developed him into a engaging secondary character who is not just there for laughs (though there are plenty) but he also assists in moving the plot along. He has all the delicious traits that make so much sense and provides so much freedom in writing him given his wealth, title and position. Then we get to ODC, just the right amount of angst, indecision, misunderstandings, redemption, and romance to make the story believable and enjoyable.Thoroughly satisfying read, thank you Ms. Amy!

absolutely lovely
Low angst and very sweet. Sad to read how angry Darcy was most of the time but how he goes from grumpy to exceedingly happy with his Elizabeth.Miss Bingley got the ending she deserved, as well as Mr. Collins, and Wickham hardly even featured making it less annoying with his overly used schemes.I love the relationship of Darcy and his cousins especially Saye. He is funny and very well developed.Overall, a delight to read. Thank you.
