Calrad 92-165-ST 6-Feet LCD and Plasma Friendly IR Receiver

Beware of the image currently being shown for this item. The image currently shown with the attached 3.5mm connector is for the  Calrad 92-165 6-Feet LCD and Plasma Friendly IR Receiver  not for this item, the Calrad 92-165-ST. However, the "Product Features" accurately describe the the item with stripped and tinned wire terminations (i.e. no connector). Very good documentation is included on wiring instructions for someone familiar with IR distribution systems. Otherwise the item performs as expected and comparable to competing products with a higher price point. The only negative is the blue feedback LED is a bit too bright/distracting.

BEWARE. IMAGE IS NOT ACCURATE. Image clearly shows the mini stereo adapter on the end, but this will show up without the adapter and bare, stripped, wires.

I have several xantech systems, and I needed an ir receiver on the cheap for a small tv in my workshop, and I gave this one a shot. It is not as good as the xantech versions, but the only negative is vertical amount of range. You need to hit this more straight on than the xantech pickups, but for the price, this is great. It worked with the xantech block connected in line with a xantech pickup.
