Great bargain
I've been looking for a tenor guitar for a while. There is one in a local music shop chain several hundred miles from me for over $600. I've seen a few online listed for over a thousand. This is brilliantly priced at around a hundred bucks. It looks and feels like a giant ukelele. I have no reference to compare it to but it sounds very nice to me and the action is well set from the factory. I tuned it up last night played it for a couple hours and it was still in tune this morning. It's quite clearly not going to be a family heirloom piece but for the price I am completely satisfied with the quality.***did not arrive with the 'original Allen wrench'. Not that I need another throwaway Allen key anyways. ***

Tenor Guitar by Kmise
I previously recieved a Kmise tenor guitar, and gave it a pretty bad review. The intonation was seriously off, making it unusable as a musical instrument. It seemed to have potential, and I was anxious to own a tenor guitar, so I took a chance and exchanged it for another rather than a refund. I'm very glad I did, as I now have a decent tenor guitar at a very reasonable price. What you get is a no-frills plywood guitar with a really nice gig bag (I've paid half the price of this guitar for a inferior guitar gig bag before.) The tone is surprisingly nice, very decent sustain, and pretty good intonation. The tuners are okay, but the adjustable truss is really cool, and you can dial in the action you're comfortable with very easily. The short scale is very nice for those of us with beat-up, arthritic or damaged hands. Some of the frets will need a little attention, as they're slightly rough on certain edges. But to be honest, I've found that on instruments costing three times as much. As far as bang-for-buck goes, this gets five stars. What you're getting is a decent tenor guitar at a fraction of the price of the next available model. If you're unsure of whether you'll like tenor guitar, on a budget, or simply want to experiment, this is an ideal choice. You'll find it for noticeably cheaper elsewhere on the web, but if you grab the occasional lemon (not uncommon in any mass-produced instrument) you might enjoy Amazon's easy return policy, as I did.In short, I'm very pleased with this guitar, and happy to write a more positive review.

With a little setup work this is really good for the price
With a little setup work this is a very good tenor guitar for the price. It is perfect for sitting on my couch and noodling around. The action out of the box was high and so I lowered the bridge, I polished the frets, and put new strings on it which is standard practice for me on all new instruments. With good strings and a nice setup it is very enjoyable to play. It has some surprising resonance for such a inexpensive instrument. I have another tenor guitar that was much more expensive but i often choose to play the Kmise for its size and sound. I like the neck profile and the string spacing because it’s a little wider than a standard tenor guitar neck and makes some chords easier for me to play. Because it’s inexpensive and durable I will take this little guitar everywhere I go.

Ok for the price
Good small cheap tenor guitar... but it was not that smooth on the edgw of the fret, I add polish it... other then that, I am happy with it.

Surprising Quality for the Cost
Bought this as a "couch guitar". Trying to learn 6 string acoustic but the size of the body and the narrow string spacing were putting me off as an adult learner. Decided to try this 4 string tenor guitar as an alternative. Action was high when it arrived but solved by tightening down the truss rod. Fit and finish of the instrument is amazing. The included case is also of high quality. I truly cannot believe the quality of everything you receive for the $82 the package cost. It has surprisingly good tone for a small body guitar. The 1-1/2" nut and only 4 strings to worry about make the learning curve much easier than traditional 6 string guitar. I play for much longer periods of time because the small body size allows me to sit back in the recliner and play while watching instructional videos on youtube. With the 6 string guitar, I have to sit straight up on the edge of the couch and do not play nearly as long at any one time. Considering trying the kmise guitalele next when I want to make the move to 6 strings.
