Not sure why the bad reviews.. this is a PAD.. nothing more.. yes it is thin but it does reflect heat.. prob best on top of their bed or cushion.. I put this on my couch where the cat likes to sleep.. It gets really cold up here in New England, and this is truly perfect.. it's got a bit of a crinkle sound, but my cat actually enjoys that.. she'll circle around a half a dozen times and lay right down..She's been laying on this thing on and off (mostly on) for 48 hours now.. When I brought it home, I sat on the couch, and then on this (on the couch) and it is immediately noticably warmer.. nice furry cover, and definitely reflects body heat.. I love it.. She loves it.. WIN!

Don't be fooled by the picture, like I was. I knew for $12.77 it wouldn't be super cushioned, but this is ridiculous. It is literally the thinnest pet bed/crate liner I have ever seen. I don't even know where to start.... The picture shows the animals sinking into it and other reviewers saying it's a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inches thick, it is not! It is maybe, MAYBE, 1/4 inch thick. It is so thin I didnt even know what to compare it to, so I got a pillow case from my sheets to compare and the other picture is a nickel. This thing would basically be one step up from sleeping on the concrete, but wouldn't last. In the first picture the shiny spots are the foil liner showing through. One swipe of a dogs paw and this thing will be shredded. Don't waste you time buying this and then returning it, because you WILL return it. I don't see how this would ever transfer enough heat to keep an animal warm unless it was on top of another pet bed, couch or bed, which kind of defeats the purpose right? This would never stand up to one wash in the washing machine, let alone multiple washes and an animal scratching around on it to get comfortable. The package has one of those sticky, fold over enclosures and even that was so cheap that it tore completely open when I tried to open it. Spend a few more bucks to get a decent pad and bypass this!

This mat is yuuge! It's also soft & plush I'm impressed. My pup loves it. . Well worth the $.

I bought this for my daughter’s dog. My grandoggie and put it in his doghouse. He unfortunately, didn’t care to lay on it so that’s why I gave it 3 stars but I must admit this score comes from my granddoggie lol. Your pet may love it dunno! I guess you have to purchase it to find out.

I just received this item today. I wanted it as a warming feature on top of my dog’s bed. It is very thin, so using it alone wouldn’t be a good idea. But, my dog had been snoring soundly ever since I placed it on top of her bed. The side she’s lying on is toasty warm. She loves it! It does make an annoying crinkling sound, but other than that, it works for what I intended it to do!

I bought these because it had a cover that could be taken off of which you can. However, It is so flimsy that it is not good for dogs who like to "make a bed". It is all twisted up. Sorry I bought these.

Some purchasers said this was too thin and cheaply made, but it was just as I expected it to be. It's not cheaply made, it's just a simply designed item for a specific purpose. It's not an $80 thick plush cushion for 30 below weather, it's only designed to help the animal transfer some of their body heat back to them. The cover is very nice and warm by itself and can be removed when washing it. Very nice for this type of product.
