It is an amazing Pogo stick
It is an amazing Pogo stick! I bought for my 9 year old son for Christmas (74lbs and 4'6" tall) and it was perfect for him to use right now. He had never had a pogo stick before and he got the hang of it in less than an hour. The next day he was already a pro. This pogo does seem to be better suited for younger children in a way. It is very easy to learn with for a 9 year old, but I think a 9 year old could have used the next model up. This one says that the weight limit is 80lbs and it's fine, but it did seem smallish. All in all, a great product.*The only reason I did not give it four stars is because 2 weeks into having the pogo, it stopped bouncing. However, Amazon had excellent customer service and I was able to return the pogo for a full refund and buy a new one (so far, so good! It's working great and my son is having lots of fun).

Too stiff
I bought this for a 7 year old who weights 40, maybe 45 pounds. The ad said it was for kids between 40 and 80 pounds. The problem is that the spring is very stiff, and the boy was unable to compress it enough to make it "jump." My guess is that it would take at least a 60 pound kid to use it. The instructions not that the spring is stiff and will loosen with use, but if it is suited as the ad says to a 40 pound kid, they should be able to use it out of the box, not after an untold amount of jumps and time by a much larger person.

A great pogo stick for it's weight - good value
My 50-55 pound eight year old bought this with his own money and has been very pleased with his purchase. He thought it might take some time to master, but he seemed to have good control of it after a few hours. He's careful to lubricate it regularly (sometimes daily) per the instructions. It's the right size and weight for him. My 60-65 pound 10 year old is also comfortable with it, but my 40-45 pound 5 year old hasn't been able to do much with it yet.

Great for 10 yrs old and up.
I like the pogo stick its sturdy, looks nice but my 6yr old girls had trouble getting it to bounce. It was a stiff bounce. The girls passed all the requirements and followed the guidelines. I like flybar. I exchanged the pogos for a diff flybar style of pogo and now we are all happy.

Purchased one for my oldest daughter and then another for her little sister who also loved it. They have held up really well and been great fun/exercise for my kids. They both started on them at about age 5. It was hard for them to compress it enough at first until they got confident enough to really give it a go, but after that they were pogo beasts. Still jumping on them at ages 9 & 7
