Everything Under the Sun: a curious question for every day of the year

I bought this book almost a year ago and my 6 year old and I are almost all of the way through it. This book is wonderful and has sparked so much interest and conversation. She is so happy to be a part of conversations she wouldn't otherwise know about and proud to share the things she's learned about. "Oooo! I know about the Leaning Tower of Pisa", for example. She actually holds on to the information, too, which is impressive. She has already said that when we are done she wants to read it again.

I purchased the paperback not realizing the hardcover would be the better choice regarding the size of the book. Otherwise nice illustrations.

I think this book is top 5 favorites of mine, as a parent. My son is only 2 so he doesn't get it yet but we try and read a page or two everyday. The book is full of so many different questions and answers. I think it also give you a chance to use your imagination and think of animals, plants, people in different ways and ask why things are a certain way.

Not appropriate for children

Really fun book for the family! My daughters ask me to read the daily question / answer every night before bed. It's great to have a book that asks lots of questions; the kids guess the answer before we read it! Excellent formula. Lovely book.

Bought this book as a gift, it's filled with amazing random facts, fun and easy for kids to learn.

Gorgeous images and colours, super interesting facts even impressing me, the adult!😅 Kids love it but inevitably we dont read only fact a night, we do about 8 or 10 but the idea is lovely.

Quite large, with interesting topics that we may not have thought of. We use this to kick start our home school day with a random fact that sparks conversation:)Would be difficult for little kids to manage because it is quite heavy.

Really great book for my 7 yr old. We have it on the dining table as a fact of the day alongside a word of the day book. Child reads the paragraph (some challenging words but otherwise manageable). Interesting facts which that lead to discussion and more questions. Lovely illustrations.

A Christmas gift for several of my grandchildren however I have thoroughly enjoyed my own browsing!!
