Excellent brushes, hardly any hair loss

I use these brushes for school when I'm working with acrylic paint, watercolors, ink, or when I'm adding glaze to my clay pieces. I've been using these for almost a year now and they are still in good shape. I've had no issue with frayed or bent bristles, yet, and they fit nicely in my pencil case.

I wasn't expecting much given the price on these but I needed some beater brushes and these were shockingly better than I expected. Bristles seem good for low priced synthetics, though I did have to clip 2 errant hairs on one of the filberts. I've had to do the same with more expensive brushes so no complaints there. One of the flats is somewhat crooked, somewhere between a flat and angle brush, not unusable but not a true flat. The other flats are true flats except for the smallest which is closer to a blunt round than a flat. The round brushes are very well pointed all of them coming to a very acute point and they all have good full bellies. I do not like the fact that the care instructions stress to use only cold water on the brushes. In my experience this implies very low quality heat reactive glue meaning the brushes are likely to fall apart when exposed to much more than warm water. Temperature limitations are a disadvantage when dealing with watercolors and acrylics as both are much easier to clean out of brushes properly with hot water. Four of the brushes had loose handles out of the package. This could be down to poorly seasoned wood, low quality/inadequate glue, poor crimping of the ferrule, or a combination of all. A little super glue will likely fix that issue. All in all, for the price the quality is well above what I expected. Are they top dollar sables? Of course not, but they're good enough for base coating models and doing some minor detail work.

I am not an artist, but I bought these to paint mica on soaps to make them prettier to sell. I like the variety of the brushes and their ease of cleaning. I also think they are stiff enough they will retain their shape for longer. I have not had any bristles fall out while painting or cleaning. I think they will be durable as they are and easy to use. These are all the same color.

My daughter loves these. They are good quality for the price. Great gift for the crafter, art kid or adult. Would buy again.

Not for watercolor or gouache. They are too stiff, even after rinsing in water multiple times, they wont hold water. Good for acrylic only really
