Great product

I had tried a commercial cough syrup and was totally put off by all the chemicals, including propylene glycol, artificial colors, artificial flavors, etc! I did NOT want to put that in my body! So I thought, why not try Burt's Bees for children. I didn't mind the consistency and taste at all, and it actually seemed to work!

My kids are not given medicine everytime they are sick. So generally, they don't have a problem taking the medicine. This was really bad & even smelled so bad to me & my husband. I even did something that I thought was kinda dumb before when I seen it done on reels, etc. I actually tried to put it in a syringe to insert into mini marshmallows. At 1st the kids took the marshmallows since they wouldn't take any more of the medicine once they swallowed it, and they said yuck even with the marshmallows. I might try to figure out another way to cover the taste, but couldn't even get them to take one dose. I normally pay attention to reviews, but this time with the kids being sick, just saw the ingredients, it was burts bees & ordered it.

I love all Burts bee products and swear by them. They are all natural and have been used in my house for years. Therefore when I saw this cough medicine it was a no-brainer for me, after my babies started coming down with the sniffles I gave this to them before bedtime and in the morning their symptoms started to dissipate. I was so happy that this medicine not only helped with cold symptoms but also provided extra immunity support for those nasty germs later. This is a great dual support medicine for these nasty bugs this winter. My kids also loved the grape flavor and had no problem taking this.

I'm not sure if this is as effective for treating the common cough as other more traditional over-the-counter medications are. However, as long as it's good enough we prefer the more natural ingredients and approach to a traditional pharmaceutical. So my suggestion is try this first before switching to a more chemical oriented solution if needed.

Burts Bees is one of my go to brands for my granddaughters. This cough syrup has really helped. It relaxes her in the evening and lawls her to sleep. She doesnt mind the taste. She isn't hesitant about drinking it. I find the syrup effective.

Great product for my littles, we have used this over a period of multiple times and it always worlswell for them. They haven't complainedabout the tatse at all. I love that it also has the clean ingriedients.
