Rough ride but no flats, and that's what I was aiming for...
(1/1/18 update) At approximately the 1,000 mile mark this failed with the tire constantly popping out of the rim in a few places. The forensics - it was a bear to get off, had to hacksaw through the beads - suggest that the sidewalls are significantly weaker than the tire beads and also maybe that the rubber interior had started to degrade. Possibly, this was due to some extremely rough roads and necessary curb jumps so I am sticking with my review and even bought another. Annoyingly, the price had gone up by $25 for no discernible reason. The DHL delivery they use is also still really bad with totally inaccuarate tracking updates. After being told is wasn't coming till after my holiday vacation, it showed up significantly beforehand but without my having scheduled time to install it so I lost ~2 weeks on my favorite bike (8/12 update) 6 months in, >500 miles all city, no flats (obviously!), and the tread is still in good shape. I reiterate my recommendation from January). Special circumstance: I have a Copenhagen Wheel that's been driving me bananas with flat tires and every flat damages the rim, which is an integrated part of the very expensive Wheel. The Oraeta showed up fast despite a not very competent DHL delivery. On this 700x25c rim, I had no difficulty doing an install. About the only special step I took was to run a thin sheen of silicone grease on the lip of the rim. Only at the very end did I have to use their "special tool" (which is nothing but a sharpened flat head screw driver) to tuck it in a bit. I found it helpful to place the wheel perpendicular on top of a large, wide mouth trash can to install since this held everything together and let me work on it while standing. It is heavy and harder on the bumps, as all these solid tires are wont to be. However, it is taking city riding over glass and potholes completely in stride, and that's what I was aiming for. The only thing I would improve in the install directions is covering the valve hole in the rim, since there is no longer a valve there preventing water from gaining entry. I chopped up a piece of old tube and duct taped it inside the rim where the valve exits and I think it's holding just fine.

I hate flats so I purchased the tire with the intent ...
I hate flats so I purchased the tire with the intent of seeing if this would do the trick. I thought I was getting two tires. I only got one. It's a poor quality road tire with a chunk of rubber shoddily glued inside the tire with rubber cement. They shipped on time but the bag was torn. The tire was difficult to install and there's nothing keeping the tire on the rim. After a ride around it was clear that a decent speed it would fall off. It's simply too dangerous. The ride quality was terrible and it had serious rolling resistance. After doing a web search for airless tires it was clear there are better options less expensive options. I now have to see if I can get my money back. I don't mean to be harsh and rarely leave negative reviews but this was simply an expensive joke.

Never buy another tube again.
I like this tire because I no longer worry about getting a flat tire and can ride through potholes, off sidewalk curbs, whatever and my tire is not going to pop. However, I found installation to be incredibly difficult. I'm used to working on my bike and all manner of handy work but after half an hour of making nonprogress I finally gave up, took t to the bike shop and they told me t would be ready the next day for $15 to install. The next day they ended up charging me $25 because even the guy at the shop had a difficult time installing it. But they finally got it on at least. It's also quite a bit heavier than I had hoped but heavier is inevitable I suppose. But then again, the added weight of the tire is partially compensated by no longer having a need for the handpump that I used to have mounted to the frame.Oh and t came with the outer tire which i was not expecting so that's awesome.
