Do not work.
These coax to Ethernet baluns do not work. All other baluns of this type are directional I.e. there is one for the output of a switch and the other is for the camera. These items (purchased 4 ) were identical.

I'm shocked it works
I'm replacing analog CCTV cameras IP cameras and must use the existing in-wall siamese RG59 cables. I simply unplugged BNC from analog NVR and plugged it into extender, then plugged extender ethernet plug into LAN switch port. At the other end, I disconnected BNC from old camera and connected it to the other extender, then plugged extender into IP cam ethernet port. It works immediately, and got 87 mbps in a speedtest. This is over approximately 60ft length of RG59.I was skeptical of this product and also got the DirecTV one which requires power adapters at both ends. That one also worked, but it was very very finicky, and took a minute to establish a connection. And it speedtested at 75 mbps. So this one is easier to set up, faster, and you don't have to deal with the power adapters.

Read the manual
You can't use these on a poe switch. You need to set a static ip address before you deploy the camera. Wish they made them in America. 🇺🇸

Doesn’t work
I’m glad I didn’t base my installation on using these and planned to run new cable. I tried it though, standard IP camera to back of the NVR using this to go over coax and didn’t work at all.

Extend IP cameras over coax.
Unfortunately I had to return them. I needed to run more cameras over a single coax. They do work great as designed for a single camera. If you are replacing older analog cameras use the existing power feed on the new camera and this to run the IP video over the coax.Great low cost solution.
