The stainless Steel coffee press is holds hot water for one hour provided the spout is turned to closed. It is important to use a pot holder under the product becuse the heat will affect the surface. The stainless steel is brushed which prevents fingrr print marks. However the product is not shiny. The coffee press hold about two cups of coffee. The press works well to allow the oils out of the coffee as long as the coffee is stired.The handle does not get hot. Consumer does not have to worry about burns.

This great, I've broken lots of Bodums over my lifetime (phrasing) so this is welcome. For best results put boiling water in it first to warm up the press, then dump it out and add coffee and more boiling water. That'll help preheat the press and keep your brew hotter longer. Also turning the little arrow on the top towards the handle between pours will conserve the heat. Just remember to turn the arrow back toward the spout before pouring.An excellent press at a great price. No more cracked bodums (phrasing) for me!

I got this guy to replace my glass carafe version from Primula. I shattered that one cleaning it in the sink. Now I don't have to worry about that, and the double walled construction keeps my coffee hot. The spoon this one comes with claims be 1 tbsp, but I believe it must be more like 1 1/3 tbsp, although I haven't tested. However, I like the size of this measuring spoon and now instead of the 4 tbsp of coffee I used to put in, I put in 3 scoops of whatever this spoon is. The extra filters are nice, but as they are stainless, one should last a lifetime. Good to have a I guess. This cost less than many competing glass products but is far more durable and looks probably nicer than most. Side note, I also bought one for my sister who also shattered her glass carafe'd french press. She is liking it.

Wow! I was looking for a french press and wanted stainless. After looking around, I also realized that I wanted measurement marks on the inside of the carafe so I didn't need to measure with another dish. This press was less expensive than others on Amazon, and when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that it is, in fact, insulated/double wall--I figured it was not, given the reasonable price, and since it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the description. Excellent bonus! The scoop and extra filters were a wonderful addition, and really made this a great value. The press is very well made, and looks great on the counter top. I've made some great coffee with it already! I plan to get another as a gift.

I really love this French Press coffee maker. I just have to boil the water and pour it into the pot where ground coffee is. I also made a tea in it and it was very nice. If anyone ever want to make a tea with it, be careful not to brew too long because this French Press can brew a tea very quickly. This looks very nice as well. So far, I am very happy with it.

I bought this for taking when I travel by car because I like coffee from a French Press, and I want to make it 'my way'. I have another stainless press that I use at home daily, and though my other press feels more sturdy, and therefore made me wonder, this new one has worked just fine for the 3 pots I have made thus far. I like the size allot, not too large, and not too small. Thank you!

After replacing my french press twice because the glass canister broke, decided to try a stainless one. This is a very nice product and it's slightly insulated so it keeps the coffee hotter as it is brewing.

I had been wanting an insulated coffee press so I wouldn't have to microwave after my first or 2nd cup and this is perfect! I agree with other reviewers that have said this must be the world's most perfect coffee press…it has a measuring gauge on the inside for water level, and an inventive little swivel feature on the lid to let you easily close the spout between pours to keep in the heat. Even the comments about the pouring spout being drip free are true! I am really glad I shopped around enough to run across this item…I highly recommend! I am about to order a second one for a gift right now!And...it is an insulated/double walled pot. For some reason the description does not clearly state this but it is. I used it for the first time this morning and I warmed the inside with very hot tap water while my water boiled. The coffee was still warm 1.5 hours later when I poured the last cup!
