The material is soft and smooth, very pretty, vibrant pattern and true to the photo. The size is nice, it's a good spring / fall / winter scarf, or makes a great head scarf, which for me that means more headband style. I like to wrap around head once with the middle of the scarf on the back of my head, then cross the scarf in the front and bring it back around to tie in the back. It's not the kind that would cover your whole head/hair. It's not a large scarf, but that's okay, as large scarves don't work well as head scarves. So this is a nice versatile scarf for me, and I really really love the color/pattern and softness of the material. It has a slight odor, like it's been wrapped in plastic, which, it has, if after airing out for a bit it still lingers I may try hand washing it in some baby detergent or something, but really it's not that bad, I probably won't even do that.This would make a nice gift, but I will be keeping it for myself
