When I ordered this I figured it was either a gimic or might be helpful in one of the ways advertised. After attempting 2 times my opinion is settled. The 2 ways to adjust the bar and handles is easy and the moves are smooth but also an added level of resistance. There are ways to increase the resistance by shortening the straps or doubling the cords or using higher resistance cords. The set also offers a door resistance attachment which works excellent too. It is also possible to have 2 people working out at the same time using the leg straps and door attachment while the other is using the bar and handles.Ways to make workout more intense include increasing repetitions or adding resistance.As a fan of pilates and their gentle and efficient results I am completely satisfied. Portability, it is completely collapsible in travel bag and easy to assemble and adjust person to person. Gyms are not in our budget so this is a blessing to work on our bone density and muscle strength as we age. My husband is 5' 9" and I am 5' 5".

This set is exactly what I needed to re-energize my at-home workout! Good quality, good selection of weight bands to handle a variety of great exercises, and easy to use. Great value, too. I am very happy with my purchase!

I have had this for a month and I am fairly pleased. Love it can be used independently or used with a door. It stores away easily. Lots of exercises and there are workout videos on the internet too. My only complaint is that the numbers on the tension straps are falling off and I have to estimate the tension on both sides of the bar.

I’m new to Pilates and really enjoy the bar workouts. This bar is sturdy with metal screws and does the job well. I like the extra bands with varying degrees of resistance. Unfortunately after 6 weeks of nearly daily use the one piece would not screw in and stay in, almost like the threads were stripped. Very annoying when it pops out while exercising and you have to hold it differently to make sure it stays in. I contacted Better Sense about the issue I was having hoping they would just send me the part(s) that were messed up, but they sent me a whole new kit! They responded within a day or two to my email request and the new kit arrived quickly. Very pleased they stood by the their product!

While I have only used this Pilates bar a few times, my college-aged son was intrigued by it and he is impressed. Which impresses me as he is serious about working out! The pieces seem very sturdy. I only wish that more of the leg exercises didn’t require the door set-up as I am just not interested in those. I really was looking for something to work out my legs at home, we have doors of course but not in convenient locations. But the quality of the equipment for the price is exceptionally good.

I see a lot of reviews complaining about this Pilates bar not being for short people. I'm 5' nothing and I did not have any problems with this bar. It was easily adjustable for my height. I will say that this bar is quite a bit longer than my old one, but that wasn't a problem for me either.I needed a bar I could add weight to and this one works exactly as described. I've only used it 3 times, but I'm loving it this far. My favorite thing is that the weight is also very easily adjustable. I'm using 30 pound resistance for upper body and found it was too low for lower, so I plan to up it my next workout. All I have to do it clip the extra 10+ pounds on and I'm ready to go. No big break between sets, which is key for me.This bar is easy to put together, it's sturdy at any weight and doesn't come loose like my old one did during a workout. The best thing is that I won't grow out of this one because it works up to 80 pounds. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. It's easily adjustable for both height and weight and worked perfectly for me, a petite, 5' nothing female.

Ordered this kit as I need to do some resistance exercises for conditioning. Has a lot of parts for a variety of options. It is quite sturdy and functional.The length of the resistance bands seem to be a bit too much for a person of height 5' 5" but maybe I need to adjust it more. I have it at the shortest but it still seems a bit loose to me. Have only tried a few exercises. Maybe I can update once I progress to using it better.Giving it 3 stars for now, as the door anchor is missing and I have received no answer from their support till now. Will update if I hear back after this.

This set up is an awesome option to those expensive Pilates classes. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, includes an awesome 2 sided chart to guide you on exercises. I love that I can it anywhere with me in the provided bag and I can use whole on my vibration plate

This is so compact and perfect to pack in a bag and keep your exercise routine going while travelling. It has great resistance and I can feel my muscles working each time.

I haven’t had a chance to workout with the bar yet but I am impressed with what I have seen so far. All of the materials are well made and the box came with everything in it. The only thing that I would say that would make it better at this moment is if the worksheet was laminated. 4 stars for now but I’m sure that it’ll be a 5 once I try it.

Absolutely love it! I work from home so I can take breaks throughout the day to get a quick workout in, which is what I have been doing since I got my Pilates bar kit in late April! So no excuses not to exercise any more. BIG plus, it’s helped reduced my stress levels and I am already seeing and feeling the results!It’s easy to set up and I just follow the poster that has a variety of illustrated moves.Must point out that when I first got the Pilates bar kit, the middle piece to extend the bar did not screw into the connecting piece. I immediately reported it to the supplier, and within 3-days I received a brand new kit! I could not believe it! Such great customer service!
