It's powerful and will get the job done. As others have stated the guard on the back catches grass build up and you end up fighting with it to keep rolling. There's got to be a better way to design that part. I'm hesitant to remove it completely as it does help from getting pelted with debris. Even if it breaks I can probably 3D print something that would work better, I'm not worried about that part breaking. It does leave a clean edge but you will go through blades faster than expected. I have a rather small yard, driveway, curb, and can tell I'll probably only get about 3-4 uses before needing to replace the blade. The sidewall of concrete will chew it up too. Buy a pack of replacement blades.

Noone likes edging the yard. This makes it much easier. It's powerful. It is heavy. Better than the old manual edgers. The box arrived so damaged, the delivery person reported it. It was fine when I opened the very damaged container.

I have Dewalt tools and this is another keeper. The videos show the one adjustment that needs to be done. There is a little guard on the back behind the wheel assembly that keeps dirt and debris from flying out the back, however it also catches on the grass and keeps the debris from escaping. I removed that little guard and it works like a champ. Several things must be done afterwards: wear work boots, eye protection, and pants to keep debris from hitting you. The edger works well and has plenty of power. I have a 75 foot wide lot with a sidewalk that needed edging. This did the job in 15 minutes. If I was more used to it and if anyone had edged it during the recent years I’d have finished faster. As it is, I am happy with my new Dewalt addition to my 60 volt system.

As is typical with Dewalt tools, this is no exception. It is sturdy, easy to use, and does a really good job....(note) I did a 120 foot driveway in less than an hour...

it works very well. I'm just a home user who will edge about 200' of yard about once every two months. There is a piece of metal that sticks down and is lower than the wheel. I think that piece goes down into the hole that is created by the spinny wheel of death. Then the wheel will be low enough to touch the ground behind it.I also got the dewalt tiller attachment for it. That works OK but it's very tiring because unlike every other brand of tiller attachment, there are no wheels so you have to hold it up the whole time. Very tiring to use that part.These things are "standard". That means the head will run pretty much any brand of pole mount tools which you can buy.Also, the motor sounds kind of janky when it's run just in the air and not against the ground. When you actually stick it in the dirt to use it for real you will see that it's quite powerful.

Cheaply made. The edger part broke off after 4 uses now it is worthless and can not be returned as of 1 week ago

This edger is awesome. Husband loves it and wishes he had bought one sooner. It takes him 15 minutes instead of an hour to edge the lawn.

This tool is one of the best quality tools I have ever purchased. Bought a different brand and it would not even fit together - returned it two days later.. The battery and charger are built lt like a tank. Great product. It may be a little higher price than other brands but it is worth it.
