THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! This author is amazing! I’ve had this book in my cart for about a year lmfaoo and finally purchased it a couple months ago. I love debrena so much I wish I knew a way to email her or get in contact cuz the book is old so the emails and stuff I think are outdated. ANYWAY her word play, her metaphors, similes, and humor. The way she graciously explains her points and she’s so smart! I have her other book Sacred Pampering Principles. Young black women if you come across this book you are in for a wonderful surprise! She talks about taking risk, femininity, treating your body like a temple, americas materialism etc. I’ve done some deep digging with this book and came across so many truths about myself because of her. God bless her she is amazing please buy!!! There was not one boring part❤️❤️❤️😘😘 I hope to meet her someday

This book was listed as book of the month on the Shanel Coope-Sykes site [...]. Thats how I found out about it. ( Shanel also has a book on amazon) The book really touches on how to do some real soul searching so that you can bring change and peace to your life. She talks about self love and self care which are very important before you can love others. She talks about letting go, clearing clutter/making space,finding your gifts and journaling. I like the way she uses the wisdom of elders as a reference as well. This book is great and I highly recommend it. I heard the author Debrena Jackson Gandy Speak on a radio show and she is a wonderful motivational speaker.

Written in a casual tone, aimed at women, and sometimes African American women in particular, but it's relevant for any woman, really. I enjoyed it the first time and will enjoy reading it again. As a wellness coach, my client read it and it gave us much to discuss.

Ladies ladies ladies!!! This book is an absolute must have. I received it as a gift and was apprehensive at first, but this book is transformational. As with any “self help”ish type read you get out what you put in, but book goes beyond that label. Truly a blessing

Alot of information in this book I couldn't real it all at one time. It's very good, if you want to learn how to grow, how to forgive, and to learn to let people into you life, take the time to purchase this book. It takes time to get through it, but it's a learning experienc and that always takes time.

Debrena's audience focus is black women, but almost everything in this well written, entertaining and thought provoking book apply to almost any woman interested in self-improvement. I am very pleased to have added it to my library; having read through it once, I'll now work through the various lessons more slowly and thoughtfully, but I must say I've already begun implementing some of her suggestions and ideas. She has a fresh perspective on a lot of issues, and I've read a LOT of self-help books over the past 25 years!

This book is life changing, I share it with every woman I know. I thought I was getting the hardcover and not the paper back.

Bought it as a present for my mum after a hard year, but I had a read of it too. A really refreshing, inspiring and comforting book. Highly recommend!

This book has brought me so much and peace. Worth every penny!
