Not as much pinching, but still a flawed design
I still can’t believe I spent over $18 on a plastic headband, but all things considered it will work I guess. (And at least I didn’t have to resort to buying a $50 so called “French” headband—I mean, really? Is it made of gold? Nope? Just regular plastic like all the others you say? Ok. Dumb.)Anyways, I agree with some of the other reviewers about this headband — the concept makes a lot of sense, it stays in place, and generally it doesn’t pinch behind the ears quite as much as every other plastic headband I’ve tried recently in a vain attempt to replace an ancient, perfectly fitting one that finally broke. I dropped a star though because of the price combined with the fact that the ear pieces are about an inch too long on both sides for any human. It’s really nice that the ends of these earpieces are at least kind of thought about (which is a big step up from most!); they’re a softer more pliable plastic, they’re somewhat adjustable and they’re flexible. Yet after much fiddling, and several trials I still had to strategically crack/cut/remelt each ear piece about an inch up from the end to make the headband actually comfortable and wearable for more than an hour. (Luckily because the ear pieces are made out of a flexible material, it was much easier to alter this headband than the others I tried!) If I’d have left the ear pieces unaltered though, I guarantee they would have put too much pressure behind my ears and caused a headache quickly because they reached down SO far! I don’t know what this company is using to guide their design specs, but two inches of extra length is very excessive, and it needs to be reevaluated I think. And here’s my little rant combined with details about a weird little experiment I did to support my plea to this designer/manufacturer/company to shorten the headband earpieces or at least offer a few length choices maybe: I just don’t get why the earpieces on every plastic headband are so long—I mean I think I actually have a longer, more oval shaped head compared to others, so you’d think this wouldn’t be a problem for me but it is. So I figured if it’s an annoying problem for me with my long head, I can only imagine it’s a problem for most others, right? So I measured this headband from ear piece tip to earpiece tip: 17”. Then I approached every adult person I could (over 40 people total!) and had them put the headband on. Then I had them measure their head from just behind their left ear where they thought the earpiece SHOULD comfortably rest, over the top of their head, to just behind their right ear where the other earpiece SHOULD comfortably rest without discomfort and pressing on nerves and tendons, etc. The collected measurements (from quite a diverse sample set with different hair textures, etc.) didn’t differ more than half an inch from each other; they all fell within 14.5” to 15” which is MUCH shorter than the length of this and all the other plastic headbands I tested. So I really want to know WHO exactly are these companies designing these plastic headbands for with such long ear pieces? Yetis? I really think this company has something unique to offer with this new headband design, which is why I am taking the time to write this long review. If you’re not willing to rework your design to a shorter, more human length, could you at least think about offering us some length/size options?Just a thought and a little request for consideration anyways so I don’t have to keep doing the redesigning for you upon purchase...

Not really Square
I had this idea of headbands shaped like glasses years ago and was so excited to hear about these and am so disappointed. The sides are like glasses but the top is like a regular headband and smashes my hair down flat just like a regular rounded headband. They're really not square at all. See the difference - the rounded headband on top vs. the squared glasses below it. So disappointing. :(

Nice idea
The idea of this I think is great and the paisley color is beautiful, but for me it is the same problems that I have with other headbands. Granted, no headache, but the stems go to far down past my ears and they interfere with my glasses. Normally I end up breaking the ends off to shorten them, but I don't think it would work and for the price that this was, I'm not gonna try it. Maybe if I didn't wear glasses I could get use to feeling the stems down behind my ears, but the glasses hit the headband and it prevents them from sitting comfortably. Will put this away for extremely bad hair days.

Better Than the Average Headband
I have always thought that sunglasses make the best headbands, so I searched "sunglasses headband" on Amazon and found these. They're not quite as good as my real sunglasses, but much more comfortable than a regular headband. The teeth on the underside were rather sharp and pointy when I first got it, but I filed them down somewhat with a coarse emery board and solved that problem. I do look a little silly now when I forget I have it on and shove my regular sunglasses up on to the top of my head now too, but, what the heck...

Best invention ever!!!!!!
There are not enough stars to show my love! This is the greatest thing ever!! I always have sunglasses on my head-i only take them off to sleep. These feel the same without the goofy look of glasses when I am somewhere I dont need glasses. The feel amazing and dont hurt like normal headbands but still work the same to hold hair back. Super comfy, fit in my purse, only complaint is I only ordered 1.

Love it!
I gave up wearing headbands because they were so tight and gave me a headache. However, with my new SqHair Band I might opt to wear them more often. It is so comfortable, I don't even feel like I'm wearing anything on my head! Great product!

Yes it is a hinged headband
Yes it is a hinged headband but it does not fit like sunglasses. It is still too rounded on top to fit like glasses. Not worth the price for a regular headband. Teeth are not a problem. This item does not give me the lift like sunglass's do. But the hinges do make it easier to store.

Not quite what I hoped for... sunglasses don’t have “teeth” like headbands
I was hopeful that this would be just like wearing glasses on my head (minus people asking why I had sunglasses on my head while indoors and at work. Lol) I think it would’ve worked like that if the product didn’t have the “teeth” like headbands. Sunglasses work great because of the hinges AND because it loosely holds hair without teeth or combs. Hopefully this company keeps trying because this is a much needed product! Everyone loves how glasses hold hair back!
