Was a Strict LG User Until They Stopped Making Phones, TCL was Tops On My List & Didn’t Disappoint!
Being a guy who has bought the LG G series for the past 15+ years, I didn’t know which way I was going to turn when I heard that they were stopping making phones. Knowing how incredible my TCL TV is, I decided to give their phone line a shot and I’m glad I did. This is essentially an LG G Series on steroids. A better camera, more memory and faster interface, without all of the bloatware that usually comes with phones from any manufacturer. A 48MP camera +3 other cameras that include macro, zoom, wide and normal. Essentially a camera for any situation. The pictures look incredible from it and what doesn’t, can be made to look incredible through the incredible photo editing software. Allows you to record 4K/30 video, with HDR. Not to mention, higher frame rate lesser resolution video. Just in case you want to do some slow motion capture. The phone itself is clear and allows you to use both regular and HD audio via Wi-Fi. it has a 2K HDR screen, that is crazy bright and looks incredible. Definitely the brightest phone screen I’ve ever seen.Other than that, there’s not much to say about this phone. And that’s a good thing, because most phones come with a ton of bloatware from different manufacturers. This one does not. It’s what you want to put on the phone and very little else. Which helps save battery life, which is really good for this phone. Lasting more than a day on most charges, depending on what you do and use it for.I truly didn’t think I was going to find anything that I could replace my LG with. Because I had used one for so long, and loved them… TCL was the only thing I thought about replacing it with because of how much I love their TVs. Not only for the bright HDR, Dolby Vision TVs that are quarter of the price of any other manufacture. But their service and dedication behind the company itself. To produce high-quality electronics at a great price. For which I can now say they do on at least two of their products that I own. Truly a great company that I can get behind and will continue to do so for many years to come.If you were an LG user just like me and are looking for something to replace your favorite phone in the future or now, this is the perfect place to start. Not only will you get all of the functionality and more of your LG, you will get features that didn’t exist on those phones. Not to mention a really bright HDR screen and crazy high megapixel camera on top of it. They have a regular model that this is and A pro model which is simply this phone with more memory and higher megapixel camera, at 64 megapixels. For me, this one was fine, as the camera on this phone is already 28 megapixels more than that of my LG. Which already looked incredible with pictures and video. This phone also has two separate flashes on it. Which I would imagine we will make nighttime pictures look even better. Not to mention video.Overall, I am very happy with this phone. Which also has a ton of accessories, which is surprising being that this is their flagship model year phone. I got the pearl white phone, for which I am used to having black phones, but this color and I’m usually not a fan of white, is ridiculously modern looking. It has a true pearlescent look to it. Which shimmers when you move it in the light. With a rainbow of colors. It is the neatest Color I’ve ever seen for a phone. So much so, that I got a clear soft rubber case for it, so I could see that shine through because it looks so good.I can’t say enough good things about this phone. When I got it, changing it over on my Verizon network, was as simple as taking the service card and 128GB memory card out of the LG G6 and putting it into my TCL phone. I turned it on, and everything worked perfect. Without having to log into Verizon‘s website and change a thing. Which was a concern of mine.So stop listening to me and go buy one now. You will not be disappointed. This phone is every bit of high-end that the latest iPhone is and only cost pennies on the dollar. I do recommend that you get the pearlescent white if you can. You will be amazed at how incredible it looks and how much you won’t want to cover it up with a case. Enjoy!

Was looking forward to it .... but was greatly disappointed.
7/13/21 update:I use a AT&T MVNO service provider for my cellular service and found that the hotspot feature on this phone does not work. Used the same sim card both on a Motorola and Samsung phone and had no problem with hotspot feature. So the issue is with the TCL phone. I reached out to TCL via Amazon messages and never heard back. Also have started using the camera more and it's horrible slow to take pictures so you can't do quick multiple shots. It's literally click and wait 3 seconds and then the picture gets taken. The pictures come out great if you are outdoors with great sunlight. On a cloudy day or during sunset and even night time, the pictures look washed out._---------------------I paid ~190 after taxes with they had the $70 off from full retail price. I see as of 6/18 they dropped the price even lower to $157.I spent days researching and narrowing down my selection for a new phone when I cracked my old Motorola One 2008 phone. I was so looking forward to this TCL 10L phone with the multi-day lasting battery, the 6 GBs of RAM, the 64 GB of space and all the great reviews by everyone else. But boy was I disappointed after I received my phone.I used Red Pocket GSMA as my service and I'm located along the coast in the middle of California. Here are the issues I encounter on my phone so YMMV.1) Apps sometimes will close on its own for no reason2) The wrong app will launch sometimes. For instance, the app i wanted to launch will not launch. Instead the app next to the app I wanted to launch instead.3) With no apps running, the device tells me I only have 2.66GB free out of 6GB. What the heck is using 3.34 GB while the phone is in idle?4) I can't even play ROBLOX on this phone. The drag and load time is so bad it makes it look like a phone from early 2010. Even my old Moto One from 2018 and Moto G5 runs Roblox faster than TCL.5) I can't get the split window or float window to work properly. When I want to use this feature, such as using the phone and Gmail at the same time, it doesn't work. When I don't want to split screen it forces some of my app to use split screen.6) Amazon Prime videos and YouTube TV supports the use of "floating" window so you can move the video around the screen when multi-tasking. However with this TCL phone, the "floating" window always shots to the right bottom corner beyond the edge of the phone so there's no point of it. Also, you can't freely "float" the window around the screen. It's ways 1/2 way off screen in the right corner. Which leads to #77) When you use the multi-window options and swipe to close the app, it doesn't always close the app. Especially with videos, it would close the app but the sound keeps playing. After a couple taps of the multi-window key, you'll find that it went into the "floating" window view...see #68) Back to video playing/streaming. Every so often and at random times, when there's a change in commercial, my screen would go blank for no reason. No sound, no video, no explanation.9) Can't run streaming videos at it's highest or even mid-level quality. A drag will occur and the voice will mismatch by a split second or two to the video.10) I get this transparent gray tint over my screen whenever I perform any searches in the search windows in all the apps I use.11) There's a feature that shows you the spend of data transmission at all times. This phone is always transmitting bits of data to somewhere. Where??? The lowest i've seen is 43 B/s (Bits per second) and as high as 0.5 MB/s.12) Never understood "Game mode" because it never blocked any interruptions.13) Phone doesn't support WiFi-Calling.......really in this day in age???14) Couldn't get the multi-Bluetooth support to work....one would always drop off.15) Power Charging only works with dedicated USB C wires to dedicated power source. USB-C charging wires like the ones used for Chromebooks will only provide super slow charging. Moto phones don't have an issue providing Power Charging using Chromebook charging plus.16) Outdoors you have to set the screen brightness to MAX, otherwise you won't see squat. However, in dark areas, I loved how dark the screen can get.17) The duo Flashlight was good and bright.18) NXTVISION was useless. Didn't make anything better and was hard to modify.19) There's a number of "bloatware" and features on this phone but no good instruction manual on how to use the feature properly. App Cloner....what's the point and how to use it?Camera/video has been okay but I haven't used it much. There are more negatives than positives with my experience.
