First, these came in a very small box (for what they ended up being). I took them out of the box and unwrapped them and let them sit overnight, and they expanded just fine. They did not have a strong smell, at all, and they did not smell bad. I put them on the wall (you will have to get your own adhesive) and they look awesome and do a pretty good job. I have only had them one day and use them in a room (basement), so I don't care about discoloration (I will come edit later if they discolor later), but the color (I ordered red and black) was very vibrant. I have ordered other acoustic panels before and these are by far the best I have purchased to date.

I read the instructions, wait for at least 48 hours for them to return to its original sizes, the black ones return to their shapes perfectly, while the red ones not so much, so in the paper that was included they instructed us to dip them in water and let them air/sun dry for a couple of hours and so I did and the next day some of them were still wet so I put them in the dryer and 30 minutes later they came out perfectly dry so after that I put them up to my walls and now they’re chilling up there please note you do have to buy separate double sided tape AND READ THE REVIEWS FIRST

I do streaming as a hobby, and while i don't have too many up currently, i can tell these are working very very well. The room I am in has a hardwood floor and absolutely awful reverb, but even this little set of panels (along with a rug i bought) are doing wonders to the room's sound. I would highly recommend these to anybody! I have them hung up with one nail in the middle of each one and they are holding up perfectly. With no adhesive on the back, you'll need to find some way to hang them up yourself. I recommend the nail method, especially if you're renting like I am :)

The panel on the right is 1 I bought for the same price with another company/seller. The one on the left is this product sold by this seller.They are cheaply made and very flimsy. I yelled into them and they don’t absorb anything. I will not be putting these up. I will be returning them. Please do not waste your time or your money.

I questioned upon opening if the smashed squares would ever expand fully but they did! Looked great on the wall, but the blue squares started dramatically fading to a gross green just after a few weeks with no one touching them.

This 12-pack of 12 x 12 x 2 inch acouseic foam panels are very well made and unlike many others that are shipped in a vacuum compression, these expanded on their own to full size within 3-hours...without having to use a soaking or anything else. WOW! What a great difference from others that I have had to struggle with to expand!Properly sized and very effective sound and echo suppression for the walls of my new basement studio. The foam is fire-resistant and with no foul smells out of the bag. Many options for mounting with adhesive spray, glue, or what I do which is four corners of Double Sided Tape. (I use Bell & Howell's "Alien Tape" which is perfect for this use and removable if necessary without damaging walls.
