Excellent Finder Scope!
Great quality finder scope! Well built, sharp optics, easy to align, and sturdy. The best part is the right-angle viewing, SO much more comfortable than straight-thru finders. The correct-image really helps too. Big upgrade from my previous finder. I'm giving it 5 stars but I do have one complaint and puzzlement. For some reason, the finder has a field-stop that is approximately 13 or so millimeters in diameter. So, in essence, it's not using the full 30mm objective lens' light gathering ability, but dumbing it down to about half of the objectives capability?! Usually, putting a field-stop points to sub-par quality lenses, which doesn't seem to be the case IMO of what I saw when I inspected the optics?? Overall though, despite the field-stop, this is a really good finder and I give it a big thumbs up.

No Neck Pain! Good finder scope.
I like this finder scope a lot. My neck LOVES it! I tried a standard spotting scope once and my neck tapped out before I could even get a view through it. I tried SVBONY's red dot spotter and at shallow altitudes of the telescope it worked fine for bright objects but as the scope's altitude goes up, the neck pain does too. This little RACI finder scope is your neck's best friend. It's easy to find objects in the sky and easy to adjust. I agree it would feel more solid if it had 3 screws to adjust rather than 2 screws and a spring but I've bumped it a couple of times and found it was still aligned. I did notice very little difference with the focus adjustments but it feels fairly clear anyway. If you normally wear glasses but don't use them when observing, this is far better than a red dot spotter. For a red dot you have to wear your glasses to use it. No need with this RACI finder. Just go from the finder to the scope eyepiece.

Good optical quality, Spring instead of screw in mount is problematic.
I own two of these. The price, when on sale is quite reasonable for the quality. The scope is multi-coated and quite bright and has easy to see cross-hairs. Crosshairs can be rotated to match your preference. Focusing is done by rotating the objective and then locking in place with the red lock-ring (if using for astro, this only needs to be done once...) The issue with this finder is its mount and alignment system. (Mount itself is sturdy cast aluminum). The finderscope is held in the front of the mount via friction of a rubber ring. This ring seats reasonably well but is not rock solid. In the rear there are two adjustment screws and one "adjustment spring" The spring is "self-adjusting" (yes - not user adjustable). The spring just does not provide sufficient grip/push to hold the finder in alignment. The screws need constant readjustment to maintain alignment. This is such an obvious design flaw, yet I see this design being in used in many inexpensive finders. It does not hold alignment! C'mon SVBONY - the fix is so easy. Just do what I did - screw out the spring thingy and replace it with an actual screw. I had to find a bolt to fit the hole size and I tapped out new threading for that bolt. With three screws it holds alignment pretty well (although the rubber band at the front I am still dubious of. The second SVBONY guide scop0e I have is mounted in the traditional two rings and six adjusting screws manner - it works great that way, Overall - Nice finder and optics, but dubious mount.

A little miracle
This is the best little finderscope I've ever owned. I use it on my SV 48P telescope all the time. It has just enough light grasp to be quite helpful in my suburban skies. And even more valuable than this is the right angle diagonal and correct image view. After years of using finderscopes with their upside down & backwards images, I'm worn out, both by craning my neck around to the finder and constantly doing the mental calculations to make sure I'm going the right direction while I'm star hopping to my targets. What obnoxiousnous. Now I just look down in the finderscope eyepiece and see a view that aligns with my eyeball, just magnified more. In fact, I must state that in a way this finderscope has rescued me from giving up on visual star observing, especially from city skies. It's got enough ability to facilitate star hopping and thus observing from my yard, instead of being dependent on dark skies a 90 minute drive away. Thank you SvBony. I can definitely recommend this product and will be buying more as needed.

Replaces the dinky finders I had been using -- very good optics
A really nice finder scope with bright optics. Had some trouble adjusting the reticle to line up with the long axis of my telescope. Seller's customer service is knowledgeable and very prompt to answer queries.

Works great and does what I needed.
I needed a good right angle finder for my 90mm scope but needed to stay within my budget. After looking at many and having bought more expensive ones for my larger scopes I decided to try this one. Good choice! This thing is very clear and sharp. It holds alignment beautifully. I like that it is "tall" as it gives a lot more space to work. I may have to buy another for another scope I have....haven't found anything better than this, especially at this price point.

Good Value, Does the Job
I needed a light weight finderscope and this works well enough. It is solid enough mechanically, and the price is excellent. The optics on mine came misassembled, which I corrected (see below). After correction the optics are reasonably good except on bright objects, which result in starburst patterns. On the moon and planets little or no detail can be seen because of this, but the object can be clearly seen and used for centering with the finderscope, so it does the job. Generally speaking I need to slightly recenter the crosshairs at the beginning of each viewing session as they do not lock, which is typical of many finderscopes that I have had (but not true for all of them). That is easy to do and it holds well enough for a viewing session. The optics in the eyepiece portion came misassembled. On my copy it was assembled like this (| |) it should be |) (|. For anyone who has this problem, it is easily fixed since the eyepiece assembly unscrews from the diagonal, and the lenses and spacers come out after unscrewing the crosshair piece at the base of the eyepiece. Before the fix only the center of the field of vision could be focused, whereas once fixed most of the field of view is reasonably well focused.

Comfortably acquire a celestial target and learn the night sky in the process
This style of finder has become my favorite. I find them more comfortable to use than a red dot or straight through. For me, there was a learning curve moving from a red dot or straight through to the angle finder, but the angle finder is actually pleasing to look through. I've gotten to where I can generally aim to within 7 degrees of a bright object without a finder, and the angle finder makes navigation from any bright object to your target object a cakewalk. For reference, of the seven stars that make up the big dipper, nearly all of them will fit in the field of view with their neighbor big dipper star. In fact, Alkaid and Mizar are about 7 degrees apart. With a star chart(stellarium for me) and a bright star, nothing is too hard to find. It also helps that up is up and right is right through this particular finder. Once you become familiar with the various micro asterisms scattered about the constellations, you'll be hopping from target to target with ease. Sometimes I will adjust the finder so my target falls off center, unobscured by the crosshairs. This is fun to do when splitting doubles; I can view the merged double through the finder then look through the eyepiece to take in the split pair. To sum it up, using an angle finder is an enjoyable way for me to find celestial targets and learn the night sky in the process. It's as comfortable to be at the finder as it is to be at the eyepiece, and the orientation of the night sky through the finder matches the star chart.

A good finder
This item is well made, the optics are clear, and all the components are of good quality materials and construction. I'm using it with my Celestron C5. The right angled view makes it comfortable to use not matter what angle the telescope it pointing.

Great right angled finder add on for an SCT
Does not come with dovetail holder, but fits most standard dovetail holders. Extension arm is good length (approx 4โ or 10cm) to provide clearance for your head to have room to use right or left eye for viewing without contacting your scope body. Easy to realign if required after bumping by accident. Cross hairs are properly perpendicular. Using red ring, it can be refocused to your preference and locked. Got mine when on sale plus applying an additional discount coupon. Good deal for quality of unit. Diagonal mirror is very clear and the unit is very lightweight and made mostly of metal with some plastic. Looks like good quality and goes with other Astro gear very well. Viewport diameter is under 1โ and topside aperture is just over 1.25โ. Can see clearly through viewport but no rubber ring for glasses. Comes with two lens caps. A good product so far.

Good, if it wasn't broken.
Seems like decent quality but mine had a broken screw/spring mechanism so I returnrd it. Will have to shop for a better item.

ompact and light, which is a good thing! Saves me from dirt-crawling to see thru a red-dot finder.
Standard dovetail mount, works like a charm on my ETX-125PE with a simple worm gear hose clamp all the way around it. A GREAT addition, and it's significantly lighter than an 8x50 unit.
