We received this and made tuna salad. It was delicious. The tuna is perfectly fatty and flavorful but a little salty. This product is a little pricey but we felt like it was a worthwhile purchase.

Hubby and I love a good tuna melt sandwich. We also have favorite recipes for tuna pasta salad and tuna mac and cheese. What we have been looking for is a high-quality, great tasting, non-oily Albacore tuna to make these recipes. Hubby looked at reviews and thought reviewers’ comments on Wild Planet canned tuna fit what we were looking for. It has a pull-tab opening top so a can opener is not required if you take it camping. When you open the can there is NO fishy smell – just clean, light tuna. The meat is firm and packed into the can, not floating in oil or water. The first can we made into our favorite tuna mac and cheese recipe and even the leftovers the next day did not have a fishy smell. Some people might think that tuna is tuna, but we really like Wild Planet Albacore wild tuna.

This was the first time I bought Wild Planet Albacore Tuna. The flavor was great and I stored it in the refrigerator after I made Tuna Salad and unlike the tuna you buy in stores, it never got runny and retained flavor until it was gone. Even though it's a little more expensive, it is well worth it. I have two friends that have already bought some after I told them how good it was and they love ❤️ love it too. Fantastic food and good for you too with less mercury.

I used to love tuna sandwiches and dip and other dishes. Over the years the quality went down, but the price stayed pretty low and we continued to buy it. However, we just didn't like it anymore. I was in Canada and a friend gifted me a can of this kind of tuna. It was a revelation! Great taste, great texture and larger cans. We bought some, aware that this is not longer a depression food, and it is wonderful. I recommend it to anyone! You will enjoy it, and maybe remember old times when food was unprocessed, tasty and nutritious.

Edit: It's still the best tuna on the market and I definitely recommend if you haven't tried yet! However, if you consume a lot of tuna monthly (like me) it might become expensive. Luckily, this brand offers a much bigger can of the same tuna (almost 2lb) and it's 30-50% cheaper per pound in comparison to buying these small cans. It also stays good even after 10-14 days in the fridge, so I wanted to share it with those loving tuna salads, sandwiches, tacos, etc and need tuna in bulk. Cheers! This brand is the only one I know that provides highest quality tuna meat in the can. Unlike other brands, this one never has any tiny bone pieces. It always has the same texture, color and flavor. It's tightly packed and arrives in perfect condition. Albacore is quite expensive but definitely worth knowing you're getting the best protein you can get.
