Great design, but better with a handle
I bought this mailbox for numerous reasons. I like the fact it can be locked when you are away, but it doesn't have to be locked to keep the door closed. Most other locking mailboxes need to be locked all the time. I like that it has windows so you can see if there is mail inside without actually opening the box and I like the overall size and design of the box. Some reviews that mentioned mail could slip through the bottom of the mailbox but that is not the case with mine. They must have fixed this design flaw before now (2020).I do agree with reviews in which people express concern about the possibility of the metal bending if you open the mailbox from just one side - because of the strength of the magnets and the thinness of the metal. After seeing someone post a photo of how they added a handle I decided to do that too. It makes opening the mailbox much easier. It is now a one-handed operation and it does not put stress on the metal (from the magnets). This is something I encourage the manufactures to start including. I also think the handle makes the mailbox look even better. The holes for installation are not 16 inches apart (the entire mailbox is not 16 inches wide) so you will only be able to hit one stud in the wall for mounting. But there are 4 holes total, so I have 2 screws going into a stud and 2 going into the 1/2 inch plywood which covers the house. I used longer screws to make sure it was mounted securely into the stud. Also, since I have vinyl siding I did not have a flat surface to mount this on. I cut some old window trim which was thicker on one side than the other and placed that in between the mailbox and the vinyl siding to fill in the gap. I defiantly recommend screwing this into a stud, otherwise, I would be concerned about it coming off the wall someday.I give it between 4 to 5 stars. The metal needs to be slightly thicker so you don't worry about bending the door but if you open it with 2 hands all the time, that would not be an issue. OR if you put a handle on it then it makes it a one-hand operation to open the door. Overall I am very happy with it. Great mailbox for a really fair price.

Easy install, love the front opening door, magnets are great!
I really like this mailbox. I didn't buy it for the locking mechanism (I'm not concerned about mail theft) so I can't speak to whether the lock is good. It comes with four keys, and I tried once to lock and unlock the mailbox and it works so no issues there. I usually keep the mailbox unlocked. I wanted a taller mailbox, but didn't want to get one where I would have to reach all the way in to get the mail. I love this mailbox because the front opens and you can easily grab any mail that has been dropped in. There are magnets keeping the front door closed so it is very easy to pull it open, and quickly grab the mail. There are also little transparent squares that allow you to see if there is mail inside without having to open the mailbox. The install was very easy. I generally have not used a drill much before, but had a very easy time drilling holes to install the mailbox. The mailbox comes with four screws. Two of them can be used to hang the mailbox up while you screw in the bottom two. The instructions include a diagram of the mailbox, and where the screws will need to be placed. I just taped this onto the side of my house, drilled four small holes for the screws as indicated on the diagram, put the top two screws into the siding of my house (aluminum, btw, so that's why I had to drill holes first), hung the box on the top screws, screwed in the bottom screws where I had already pre-drilled holes, and then tightened the top screws (took maybe 10 minutes to do everything including finding the right drill bit). No complaints, and love it so far.

Good looking and sturdy
I'm pleased with this box especially for its cool retro- modern look. Can't abide most ugly mailboxes. A bonus is that it's nice and sturdy. Good magnet latch keeps the door securely closed when not using the key, but I bought it because of the locking feature. I like that the door opens downward--the ones that open outward sometimes allow your mail to fall out during retrieval. The capacity is generous as well. The only thing I don't care for is that the opening used by the mailman to insert mail is large enough that I can fit my fingers into to pluck out some of the pieces closest to the top--a little less secure than I'd like. Of course, a smaller opening would make inserting small packages or magazines impossible, so I suppose it's something of a trade-off.Overall, I'm pleased, and would readily purchase this one again. Hopefully, unless I move, I won't need to as I can tell it will last.

5 solid stars for both customer service and the product quality
I was in the middle of renovating my front yard and backyard when I bought this mail box. I fell in love with the mailbox immediately after I opened the box and it's so stylish and cute. I left it uninstalled because I have so many other work to do and it was sitting in house over a month. Anyhow I finally got time to install it to my front porch, but then my hubby noticed there is an extra piece of sharp metal stuck out at the open lid area and it could cut people's hand if they open the mailbox carelessly. I was panic and sent a email to see if the seller could replace it for me, even though it is completely over the return period. I am so impressed and thankful that the seller returned my message and offered to replace the mailbox free of charge. He even let me to change the mail box color. I just want to say thanks again and your product and service are wonderful.
