Ancient Mysteries of the Essenes: The Ken Johnson Collection Paperback – October 15, 2021

Dr Ken Johnson has a number of Bible related books he has translated. This one is actually 3 books in one. My husband loved it so much that I had to purchase one for myself so I could read it too. We also sent one to a friend of his. Wonderful read and great reference book.

For years the Dead Sea Scrolls have been available and yet no one has done even a tiny fraction of fitting together the writings in them with the actual Bible passages they were taken from. Finding their commentaries on the Bible as understood by the Essene population of writers is awe inspiring. It coincides believe it or not with Bible codes (it would take a lot to explain how these are found within Scripture and does not fall within the purpose for writing here -they are not included within the writings of Ken Johnson). Dr Johnson's writings shows us what life was like for these ancient Jewish belivers in Messiah who were eagerly awaiting His arrival as the suffering servant son of Joseph. They knew exactly when He came and died and used Daniel to figure out the date! They seem to understand the time frame for when Messiah will return as the soon coming King of Kings to start His millennial reign on earth!I had read years ago that the Essenes ate locust beans and not really the locust insects. But there is not an ancient Essene around to ask if this is true, and yet recipes for preparing the locust insects into tasty dishes is actually found among the scrolls.Now we find the Jewish pharisees of the second Temple era used an entirely different calendar based upon oral tradition that was not written down. It looks like Jesus was actually crucified on the real Passover in 32 AD according to the calendar given to Adam and used by Abraham and Moses. This would also explain why one of the Gospels seems to differ with other Gospels on Passover that year. John was a follower of John the Baptist before he followed Christ. Things John the baptists says leads anyone to believe he had strong Essene teachings. And where he was baptizing is very near the Qumran area. His parents were quite aged when he was born by a miracle birth and the Essenes traditionally raised children not their own- taking in the son of a Temple priest to train by other former Temple priests would not have been a big deal. Once the calendar was figured out as recorded by the Essenes in our modern day- prophesy opens up and the times of last days prophesy are actually more advanced that we think!!! I'd recommend this book and any of Dr Ken Johnson's books to prophesy buffs. I own them all! I have read and love them all! When Daniel was told to seal up the Book until the last days I often think about what the Esssenes have revealed for us right now. Prophesy is coming alive and happening right now! It's a must have for any serious student of Biblical prophesy coming to pass today,!!!

Ken Johnson puts you on the fast track to give you solid footing in the historical premillenialist position reaching back to what the very first disciples who took their instruction and understanding from the apostles themselves believed. He's not a greedy pay-walling SOB either. This powerkeg volume provides three of THE most important books you'll ever read, for dirt cheap. I'm just sorry I bought it here instead of biblefacts.org, the better place to buy it. I'm barely going through it now, so I'll update my review when I've wrestled with everything Ken develops here. Your faith matters. So should your eschatology. Get the book. Get the best.

I was looking for Essene lifestyle, diet, community values, etc., but this book is mostly biblical history. It gets a 4 because it kept my interest, but the title is certainly deceptive. I did learn some good history from it.

Very good book. Brings and sight to the beliefs of the Essenes. I really enjoy can Johnson’s books and watching him on YouTube. I can understand charging a fee for a book. And as God size iron, sharpens iron, if a person can ask questions without having to pay.

Opened my eyes to a whole new expanded reality.

I'm a little biased, as I love reading about religion. Thus I've read a lot of books on the subject. This well-presented book was full of facts I never knew (or perhaps forgot because they were not presented well) If you are looking to learn about the differences of the Essenes, and don't want a dry college textbook - THIS book is for you. I made so many notes and highlights on many, many pages. (this is how I know I really enjoyed the book) For any Christian, GET THIS BOOK. You won't be disappointed.

Anything Ken Johnson writes is amazing. If you have a hunger and a passion for learning more about our Lord and Saviour this book is a must for your collection.

It is absolutely wonderful to have Ken Johnson's 3 research books involving The Essene Community in one volume. Perhaps not all 3 will come together for some readers in one sitting but this book should become a staple for a variety of casual & serious Bible researchers. Book 1 teaches you about the original Solar Calendar that God gave directly to Adam but was abandoned by some for a Lunar (Moon) system generally used by Pagans. Ken shows you how using the Solar Calendar predicted The State of Israel May 14 1948 & The Temple Mount June 7 1967. Follow Ken also through The 4 Ages predictions spanning 7000 years leading to The Messiah's Return. My personal hope is that because the death of The Messiah was calculated to be April 6 AD 32 there is now 10 years remaining to conclude His 2000 year Period of Age and so introduce His Messianic Kingdom Age for 1000 years. Book 2 teaches you the ancient writings from quite a number of Pre-Old Testament scribes which have been diligently tracked down, translated & presented beautifully by Ken - perfect for all you data lovers out there. Book 3 teaches you new insights into The New Testament through explaining The Book of Hebrews from the context of the original author & culture. Ken explains the Melchizedekian context of The Book of Hebrews in a way anyone can understand and benefit from. Overall, this book is definitely worth having in your collection for its painstaking research, its incredibly detailed information and impeccable presentation.

I had a great time reading this well-documented and well-argued book. The recent expert translation and understanding of the Dead Sea Scrolls is revolutionizing the history of origins and these mysteries.

I just started to read this book, I am enjoying all the information that is there, I am satisfied buying this book.
