Trick: use a twist-tie to feed the cord through
One of my roman shades from Select Blinds would no longer stay open. Contacted Select Blinds and they recommend I get a replacement cord lock from another company that was going to charge $8 for shipping a $6 part. Looked on Amazon and this is the exact same part I needed but shipping was free (sweet!).Easy to replace the part, but keep in mind there are no instructions included. Thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned an easy way to feed the cord through is by wrapping the cord with a twist tie and feeding it through the mechanism. Saved a lot of headache with that simple trick.I’ve had the new cord lock installed for 2 weeks and it’s working exactly as expected. Would buy again, but hopefully won’t need to.

Works better than the original
I was a bit skeptical about how this replacement would work, but was pleasantly surprised that it was smoother and locked better than the original. I have custom shades from a more reputable company but the cord locks on two of the shades started to fail only a couple of years after installation. I did some research and found these locks that fit the dimensions of my existing cord locks perfectly. In general, the cord locks themselves were easy to install. It was a bit tricky but that was because of the design of the shades, not the cord locks. Getting the cord strings back to even was also a bit tricky but overall the full process took less than 30 mins once I figured out what needed to be done. The motion and locking are smooth and work well. I do not need to extend the cord pull too far out to the side to get them to lock which is great. I replaced the locks on two shades and the both work well.

Perfect fit for 2 mm cord
Works great, used with Mandala Crafts Strings Lift Cords - Roman Shades Cord Oak 2mm Nylon Cord, also purchased on Amazon.

works good
It does what it needs to do.I'm giving it a 4 star rating because no instructions and no screws included.Yes, there's a little picture next to the item offered, however it's covered with arrows and hard to understand unless you know what you're doing.I suggest work from the bottom of the cord lock, it's easier to thread the cord through.I used 4 cords, it works fine, one on the left, two in the middle and one on the right.

Essential for a Roman Shade
I used this cord lock and another vendor's pulleys to successfully make a Roman Shade. Easy to install, a bit more difficult to thread but once you get the hang of it, a very important end to the project!

Easy fix, I hope it will stay fixed
I was very happy to be able to easily fix my shade instead of buying a new one. My only disappointment was when it fell apart the second time I rolled up the shade. As it turned out, the 3 wires on the lock that separate the cords did not stay securely in place. I was just barely able to bend them a tiny bit in order to make them hold. They have stayed in place for a month or so, so I am hopeful they will remain.

It worked well ... nuff said
I bought this new cord lock to replace an older one that came with the shade. Being a do-it-yourselfer I repaired the older one but wasted hours trying to figure out how to make it work. There is a shaft in the older one which wore out its mounting hole so I realigned it and repaired the worn hole with solder. But, as I wrote, it wouldn't work.Seeing the new one working perfectly, I compared the two. What prevented the older one from working was that the rollers had exchanged position. So I repaired my repair, and now it works also, so I'll keep it as a spare.

Saved me a couple hundred dollars!
My living room roman shades cord lock had broke due to stress usage. I figured that it was going to cost me a couple of hundred dollars to get our window cover specialist out to repair the job. I thought that I could give it a try and repair the shades myself. After a couple of hours of details I was able to repair the shades and get it back to normal. The install was a little difficult due to the restranding the cords through the cord lock but much better than paying someone to repair or replace!
