Why do we have to turn it a couple times of the day? How do we know when we turned it enough?

You only need to turn it a couple times a day for the first day or 2. If that. It's just to ensure its snug, so it doesn't fall. If it's tight, no need to turn any more.

Has anyone used these hooks w/ the 3M discs on a painted wall, then removed the discs from the wall? Any damage afterward on paint/wall? Easy removal?

Hi, bathroom wall is painted and it fell off after 3 days. Didn't use it for 2 days, followed instructions by letting it sit, and put a towel on it and it fell off overnight. Lifted the paint under the suction and damaged the wall. Did the same for the living room. Now there's an air bubble where the suction used to be.

Will this stick to an old school fiberglass shower wall?

I don't see why not. I have mine attached to tile and glass. As long as it's a smooth surface it should stick.

how much weight can the hook hold?

Bought to hold up a bathroom shelf... for shampoo soap etc...and didnt work at all. Buy a shelf that hangs from shower faucet instead.
