I've never been in the snow but they're super sturdy so I don't see anything getting in. Rain/puddles never get in. Fur does go all the way to the toes.

You should go for US 9, my daughter is 9.5 and we asked first for 10 and it was too big, so we returned it and bought a 9, happy with it. Needs to brake though.
