Q: Can i use this on HSS???

Should not be a problem as long as you can get it hot enough for the solder to flow...used it on stainless silverware and mild steel wire. Thing is it has to be heated to the red hot point. Watch the process on youtube.

Q: can i weld copper to stainless & metal, can i just use a butane torch?

Yes you can silver braze dissimilar metals together. However, a mapp gas hand torch or oxy/acetylene torch must be used to get the material hot enough to melt.

Q: What color is this once the brazing is cooled?

very light grey with some bright ash added feeling, but no shine no silver color comes out.
