These are not coated to the best of my knowledge. They are as you said stainless and very nice on my opinion. I did not check to see if they were magnetic.

Q: How thick is this tool? Specifically the thickness of the metal it made from. How stiff is it when prying?

I just put the calipers on mine. These bars are 100 thou thick, which is 2.5 mm. They are stiff, within the context of what they are. Analogous to a Vaughan Mini Bar in the sense that you can pull small nails and upholstery tacks. Logically they have some limit that must be less than the limit of the Vaughan Mini Bar, which is bigger. But the big difference is that this bar slips easily into a casual EDC layout, whereas even the Vaughan Mini Bar is kind of chonky to be EDCing, outside of a tradesman's toolbelt.

Q: This states it is a survival tool. Does this easily shatter Automobile Glass?

No, for that you’d need something with a dedicated window pinching point, which this doesn’t have. This is great for small jobs around the house, not necessarily a last ditch wonder-tool

They have no discernible plating or coating, just polished SS as far as look and feel can tell. They are weakly magnetic, which accords with their being probably a common commercial grade of SS such as perhaps 18-8. I highly recommend buying this 5-pack because it is very affordable (as of this writing) and it basically guarantees that you will never find yourself wishing you had bought some. You can work one of these right into an EDC rotation, and some properly placed rubber bands can keep it from rattling against other things in the pocket.
