Very Accurate - There is a secret to accurate results
These strips are remarkably accurate. I have a digital reader and I use these strips to double check my salt level readings. They are almost identical. THERE IS A TRICK TO GETTING ACCURATE RESULTS. Do not put the whole strip in the water. You only need about ONE INCH of water to get results. I take a sample and place about one inch in a cup. Place the strip in the test water and wait about 3-4 minutes. The salt water is absorbed into the strip and will stop in a few minutes. The results are easy to read and very accurate. Again, follow the instructions if you want these strips to work correctly.

Use a cup- a one ounce plastic cups ideal.
Easy to use! i was nervous purchasing this product due to a couple of reviews- well the issue is with the users! The directions say put it in One Inch of water- I use a small plastic cup for my water sample and set the end into the water cup filled to about an inch. Wait about four minutes- the water wicks up the strip until reaching the top. The yellow turns brown when its done. So simple! This is not used the same way as a ‘dip in pool’ test strip. Very well done product!

Best for saline (salt) pools.
Best price I have found for saline test strips. And you get 40 in a container (retail pool suppliers have lower counts per container at higher prices).Strips work great. Takes about 4 minutes. Make sure to pay attention to the directions: you only need one inch of water. You might get inaccurate results if you dip it in the pool or drop it in more than 1 inch of water.Don't forget to make sure your salt cells are clean. Follow your manufacturer's instructions for how to clean your cells.

Easy to use. Works.
Allows more precise adjustment of salinity levels. Our iChlor generator lets us know when salt levels are within an acceptable range, but these test strips allow us to manage salinity levels and keep them at the optimum point recommended by the iChlor manual.

Check the count to get the most strips for your money
Before buying saltwater test strips, check on the count and the price. They can be very pricy if you buy fewer strips per bottle. Other than that, the process is more involved that using strips to measure chlorine (those will not measure salt content). The directions are clear but the print is quite small so you'll need "young eyes" to read the table. The readings that we have taken so far show a slightly lower salt level than is shown on the electronic salt generator. I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but it is likely that the strips are more accurate than the control panel. We have added water and have had a decent amount of rain; the strips indicated that the salt level declined, as expected. However, the generator has kept the same level.
