This static vent work great. The three louvers are light weight and open accordingly as you turn on an exhaust fan. I shielded the vent with a protective cover to keep blowing rain out. Installation is easy. I did add a small strip of weatherstripping to aid in the seal to the structure. It is a little pricy but overall, a great value.

If you need to move some air this will do it. We installed in a sun room we built to move heat out of a vaulted ceiling, and it really does the job. We do need to put a regulator on it because it runs full blast and can be rather noisy. Anyway you won't go wrong with this purchase.

These shutters are constantly rattling in the wind. There is no way to latch them close or prop them open.

Check your measurements. If you can fit a larger vent, then order a larger vent.

This item is not airtight 3/8'' openings on 3 sides, bugs can enter so as airflow even when closed. Well constructed but not airtight.
