2 years in and still great purchase!!
UPDATE 9/2015: After 2.5 years of use this watch is holding up for my now 8 year old son. He wears it daily and has given it a beating. It's almost ready for a new strap but all features/functions still work. We've changed the battery twice, but they weren't expensive and it was easy to do at home. I'd still recommend this watch for kids needing potty reminders and I'd quickly buy another should this one break. We've got our money's worth. Pics of original condition and current attached.ORIGINAL POST 3/2013: My son suffers from reflux in the bladder. He's had issues with bladder and kidney infections since birth. He's now 5&1/2 and in Kindergarten. We were finding that he was holding his pee at school so we bought this as a reminder for him to go throughout the day. We use 7 of the available 12 alarms and have it set to buzz about every 2 hours. So far it's working great. The watch isn't too loud when the vibration goes off, so it doesn't draw much attention to itself. He's happy to have a cool watch and it fits him perfectly in the last available hole. If the watch lasts, then it should easily grow with him. The strap and watch both seem of good construction. For $40, it was well worth the cost to provide him with a reminder away from home. Even if it get's destroyed and needs replacing annually. I'd highly recommend for any parent with a child suffering from reflux or chronic bladder infection.

Not for heavy sleepers; may work for those that are "light" sleepers!
I read a lot of the reviews here before deciding to purchase.1a. A lot of the reviews felt that setting the various functions (i.e. the alarm, time, etc.) is difficult. I agree that it is not that easy, but given this is a very simple watch, with a limited number of buttons (that should not be too easy to push, else risking setting or turning off/on by mistake whilst asleep or doing daily tasks), in the end, I decided that setting the various functions was a bit complicated, but no worse than having to hold one button down and advance the time with another button, as I've on countless other car clocks or old-style radio clocks. (Perhaps we're all too used to the ease of touch screens and alarms on our tablets!)1b. Part of the problem for me with setting the clock were that the directions themselves were so small one needed a magnifying glass to read them - I found that part of the cause of my troubles with setting the watch; by the time I had squinted out the next step in the process, the watch had gone back to "home" setting, and I'd have to start over again, to get to the "set" setting of the alarm, etc.2. The time, etc. on the face; I can see the time and seconds easily, but agree, any other information (date), etc. is very small to read.3. Vibrating. I read various comments on this. It's not very long; 15 seconds or so. And if one wanted it to go off at decent intervals, one would have to set it at all these different increments (one can set up to 12); as there appears to be no "snoozee" function, per se.Also, its vibration is (unfortunately) not super strong. I think for someone that has a fairly consistent schedule and is a light sleeper, this watch might work for them. However, I am a very heavy sleeper - I literally have slept as trains go by and people walked through my bedroom -- and easily slept through a little vibration on my wrist. Also, I wanted to use this while travelling, so I was dealing with time-zone changes and all the jet-lag and odd sleep patterns that result with that also. (I tried it before I left, and it seemed to be okay, but then I was on a very set schedule when I got up pretty much at the same time every day.)CONCLUSION: A decent solution for a light sleeper that doesn't need the snooze button 5 times or; for reminders during the day. Not for heavy sleepers and/or those that like to hit the snooze every 10 minutes for an hour after the alarm goes off.I am thankful Amazon.com allowed me to return the watch.

Watch being sold with near-dead batteries
There is nothing wrong with this watch, per se. I like it. The vibrating alarm works great, which is why I bought it. And it fits my small wrist well. The problem is that I've had to buy this watch twice now, and each time the battery died within a couple weeks of receiving it. The first time, I bought a new battery but lost some of the tiny screws in the meanwhile. So I taped it temporarily but it got moisture in it and that ruined it. My fault (though I wasn't happy about the battery dying so quickly). So I bought another one, sure the first one's weak battery was a fluke. But no, that battery died within a couple weeks of receiving the watch. The watch isn't cheap. I would have expected that with the watch one would get a working battery. Apparently that is not the case.***********NOTE THE FOLLOWING EDIT**********************I am now editing my review. What I said above still stands. But I also have to say now that even though ALL the alarms are OFF (and I have checked and re-checked each one at least 5 times), AND it's set to vibrate only - every night at 11:00 pm the audible alarm goes off. I have never set an alarm for 11:00 pm and, like I said, no alarms are on anyway and even if they were, it should be vibrate only. I can find no way, other than smashing this thing with a hammer, to stop this blasted thing from chirping for about 20 seconds or so every single night at 11:00.Three strikes, this watch is out. I'm downgrading to a one-star.
