Classic Jump Rope

When it comes to jump rope, it is not a rocket science - all you need is...just piece of rope and some handles.Gaiam Classic Speed Rope for Women and Men comes with plastic handles and plastic, lightweight rope.For my personal preference, I would prefer rope to be a bit heftier - but that is just me.

If you're looking for a simple jump rope to do single unders with and you're not worried about being competitive then this is a good rope. If you're looking to do double unders and/or a competition where you would need a speed rope, I do not suggest this one. It is incredibly light which also makes it seem very flimsy.

This is a sturdy jump rope for beginners. I’m not very active and don’t jump rope so I just wanted something to try. It feels decent and I can see if you were hardcore into working out how fast this can go. For me I feel like a kid playing in the playground but it does work. The color is nice and bright and I enjoy it.

For $10 you get what you pay for. A cheap, flimsy, thin handled jump rope. It turns in circles while you hold the handles just like it is supposed to do. However, I have had way better speed ropes that have thicker handles with rubber padding to help you maintain your grip while jumping. The cording on this one is thin and it seems to hold the bends from it being packaged way more than more expensive ropes I have had in the past. For $10 it is a 4 star rope, however I prefer to use much nicer ropes because I actually do enjoy jump roping. I expect more from Gaiam products, but honestly you can get them in Ross/Marshalls now so I think the quality has gone down a bit.

I got this jump ropr mostly because it's my favorite color, but it's a nice quality jump rope as well. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip, and the rope moves well so that it's easy to jump without getting tangled up. The rope length is tall people friendly but adjustable for shorter people.

I wish the string is heavier. It works ok. But I guess if it is heavier will make jumping easier.
