Great for tighter areas on river
Casts really well with rio titan flyline however does not like regular wt forward line. I think because it needs the shorter heavier head to load well. Throws bigger flies and bugs well and that is why I got it. Very happy with the rod and seller. It may not cast a mile but that is not it's purpose. It has landed some nice smallmouth bass in heavy current with a lot of rocks.

Nice set up for Bass and not too expensive. Loads well and throws heavier streamers and flies very well.Good length for fishing out of boat too. Nicely made and good quality

Great rod!
Great rod for the price. I got the 8wt. Work perfect with large flies and small nymphs. I've used this rod for bass, carp, bluegill and even trout. HahaReally easy to get used to. Helped really get my double haul working.Great bass and carp for rod.

nothing wrong with owning a St Croix rod.
I use this to fish warm water for larger species. will use also on the flats off Aransas Pass for reds. not worried about abuse as the price is right.
