Strong magnets for use on thin fabric material.
I purchased these to use for a dog costume to keep bows on my dog's ears. They worked, and are not too big or thick to be uncomfortable, and held on through her ears, as long ash she didn't shake her head too hard and fling them off. The only issue was adhering ribbon to the plastic coating was a challenge as eventually the glue wouldn't keep stuck to the plastic, and I tried 3 different types, hot glue worked the best but didn't hold as permanently as I'd hoped.Tried using the magnets inside fleece fabric to use as a closure but they wouldn't hold though two layers of fleece (one layer covering each magnet) even though the magnets are very strong for their size.Given the package was of 30, I have no idea what to use the rest for since they are not strong enough to use for a fleece dog sweater, so minus a star as I'd prefer if they came in packs of 6/10 so as not to be so wasteful.

Not strong enough
These magnets are very easy to install on the bags and totes I make, however, these were not strong enough for my purpose. I'll use them for other projects but for closing totes they are too weak.

Strong version worked well and takes dye
I bought the strong version and it works well for costume making, using in place of a medium sized snap. I threw this one in the synthetic dye bath which is boiled for 30 minutes. The plastic part held up and took the color which wasn’t my intention but good to know. Make sure to close the garment/magnets for drying and I had no problems after tumble drying on low. Haven’t used for them for long term but so far it’s a great product that will help for fast changes.

can on time and good quality
They were easy to use. I put on seam of tshirt so had to stablize the seam. i did the entire side of the shirt to use while recoperating from shoulder surger and worked perfectly.

Not always dryer safe!
I bought these to make adaptive knit and fleece jackets for my mom. The facility where she lives dries everything on high, and I've had to replace at least one pair on each of the 7 I've made. The photo shows the worst -4 of the six melted! I also had to buy a one sided zipper foot in order to sew around the magnet as closely as I needed to. The fleece I used was plush and the magnets aren't as effective with that weight of fabric, they work well with a double knit. They're too bulky for a regular t shirt weight knit however.

Good value — just pay attention to +/- and orientation of each side when using
Not as strong as the ByAnnie brand of magnetic snaps, but these will do in a pinch if you have a lot of projects you need to get done that require magnetic snaps. These magnetic snaps do have a right and wrong side when inserting them in order to get the strongest closure, so pay attention to orientation when sewing them into your project in addition to making sure one snap is the “+” (gold/brass color; vinyl is embossed with “+”) and one snap is the “-” (silver-tone color). You’ll know that you have the sides properly oriented because the connection will be strongest — just be careful when testing which sides of the “+” and “-“ magnets should face each other because you can rip the vinyl if you have nothing between them and try to separate the two sides. And definitely make sure you have interfacing or material to help with wear and prevent the magnets from tearing through your project where the magnetic snaps are sewn in.

Shallow field/ Weak
These magnets are too shallow field or week to attract through a leather bag flap.

Not terribly strong
They weren't strong enough to work, through the material I wanted to apply them to. Haven't bothered with a return, as I might find something to use them for, but not sure; it's almost more hassle and time to return them than it's worth. Write-off.
