So easy to use. Meat stays fresher and longer. Works with so many other items from fruit to staples. The food saver does not take up much space for storage. I was impressed with the sealing quality and ease of use. Directions are very simple. The suction was amazing. I would buy meat that only would last a few days now I don’t have to worry about throwing away money. My first use was on blackberries. Like the cord storage.

This food saver brand vacuum sealer has excellent suction power and leaves a nice seal on the bags. I wasn't sure how I would like the tilted design but it's really easy to use and works great. I love that the bags are stored right in the machine and I can cut the length of bag I need easily with the cutter. They included a roll of bags with the machine so it was ready to use as soon as I unpacked the machine from the box and loaded in the bags. To close the unit, just push the lever. When you push either the "vacuum" or "seal" button, a light comes on and flashes while it's working and the light will go off when the cycle is completed and it is time to remove the bag. You can choose either vacuum or seal. If you choose vacuum, it will vacuum the air out and then automatically switch to the seal mode. There is a removeable drip tray for moist foods so it is easy to keep the machine clean. This vacuum sealer works equally well for wet or dry foods. I would definitely buy this again.

A buddy of mine who frequently vac-saved and froze a large quantity of salt water fish catches referred me to the model of FoodSaver he has. He's got the mac-daddy model, so it's way more heavy duty and has way more bells/whistles than I need for my occasional small job home use (plus considerably pricier). After a lot of research across various manufacturers, I finally pulled the trigger on this FoodSaver model and am quite pleased with it. The sample bag roll included was a nice touch, yet it makes larger capacity bags than I'll typically use, but I later got some rolls of the smaller bag material and am now set for most anything I'll need to freeze. Very easy to use and quality built. Mine (in white) is attractive enough to keep out on the kitchen countertop if you have the room yet small enough to stow in a cabinet below for easy access whenever needed. I highly recommend this model.

This unit works great. Vacuums and seals depending on the item you want done. Has options for soft foods so they don't get crushed. My last unit worked for 10 years and vacuum died. Hope this one lasts longer. Great value for the price. Unless you are a big game hunter this is all you need.

We received our Foodsaver VS2150 in February of 2022. It worked great for the first 8 months and then started working sporadically. It would start the vacuuming process and stop before it finished vacuuming... I found that I could press down on the back of the unit, where it's hinged and it would work fine. Well, that problem grew worse every time we used it until finally it totally stopped working altogether. Just last week, I Emailed the manufacturer and gave a brief description of what it was doing and they sent a new one immediately. I'll see how this one does and provide an update later. The main focus of this review is the speedy way that their customer service team handled my complaint. Kudos to Foodsaver for that!

I have owned other FoodSaver units that worked great! The last one I owned worked great, but I had to put a box under the item I was sealing to lift it off the counter a couple of inches for the item to seal. That was a really poor design, however the vacuum itself was great! I purchased this one for my new home because I wanted a smaller unit, that would hold a roll. I like that part, and the size of the unit made it easy handle. Creating bags from the roll was easy. HOWEVER, after one day the unit died. The box it was shipped in had lots of tape on the outside, like the unit had been returned multiple times due to being defective. The vacuum motor itself worked, but it didn't seal nearly as quickly as other FoodSaver units I've owned. Like everything else these days....this unit didn't work. My only option for return, buy some packing tape and take the unit to the closest UPS store 25 miles away!

I love and use my food saver several times a week, but most often on grocery day. I seal up all my meats as soon as I get them. Wouldn't be without one. They are perfect for big meal left overs and soups. Follow the directions and freeze liquids before trying to seal them in a bag. I have killed a couple over the many years because I didn't freeze them first. This model is so economical, you can't hardly pass it up.

I use these to buy family packs add freeze them in smaller portions. It works great and saves both raw meat and cooked meat. I like taking fresh smoked brisket, slice it and vacuum seal it for later. Just thaw the cooked product and then put the whole bag into sub boiling water for about 20-30 minutes and serve. Still moist just like you made it an hour ago. I have bought 4 so far, one for the house, the lake, and the hunting camp. Gave the fourth one as a gift. Highly recommended.
